A Starz fantasy spy thriller based on the 2012 Daniel O’Malley novel, The Rook stars Emma Greenwell, Joely Richardson, Adrian Lester, Olivia Munn, Jon Fletcher, Ronan Raftery, Catherine Steadman, Gina McKee, Ruth Madeley, Eleanor Matsuura, Shelley Conn, Tamsin Topolski, Barry Atsma, Luke Roberts, James D’Arcy, Michael Karim, and Michael McElhatton. The supernatural series follows Myfanwy Thomas (Greenwell), who awakens in the rain at London’s Millennium Bridge, but has no memory and cannot explain the circle of corpses surrounding her. Myfanwy is a key member of Checquy, the last actually secret service in UK, and it protects Extreme Variant Abilities (EVAs). As her own supernatural abilities emerge, Myfanwy must dig for the truth about herself.

Good show. Good actors and more importantly, good writing. Rating may improve with season 2. Quality over quantity?
I loved The Rook. It’s an exhilarating show and has great potential for success! I know of several people who I’ve turned on to this series. They will be crushed as I would if this doesn’t continue to season two. DO NOT CANCEL!! It’s amazing and the writers are amazing!

I fell for this show from the very first episode. Please don’t make us wait too long to know what is to become of Myfany and the chequey.
Loved the show watch the first season in one go. Definetly needs a Season 2
This show was done quite well. Somewhat reminiscent of movies like Memento. There are questions left unanswered, so I do hope it gets renewed. This show probably doesn’t get the ratings it wants because it isn’t hyped enough. I’m not sure if Starz is the right “network” for huge ratings, but it did produce an excellent show. I watched the show in one full day, and I’m glad I did. Very enjoyable, as the drama was emphasized more than the abilities of certain characters. Give it a go!!

Absolutely love the show I think it was an great New take on spy craft in a science-fiction point of view! With all the comic book movies being done this is so much more realistic! It better be back for a second and 3rd n so on! I can’t wait to find and read the books!
