E! has overthrown the monarchy. Deadline reports the network has cancelled The Royals after four seasons.
The scripted drama centers on a fictional British royal family in modern-day London. The cast includes Elizabeth Hurley, William Moseley, Alexandra Park, Jake Maskall, Tom Austen, Genevieve Gaunt, and Max Brown.
Although E! has cancelled The Royals, there is still hope for a fifth season. According to Deadline, the show’s producing studio, Lionsgate TV, is shopping the series around to other outlets.

E! will not be moving forward with another season of The Royals, which launched in 2015 as the network’s first original scripted series. Over four seasons, The Royals took viewers behind the palace gates on a scandalous journey filled with twists and turns. We are grateful to the cast and our producing partners at Lionsgate and Universal Cable Productions.”

We’d rather keep pointless shows like the Kardashians and throw out good shows like The Royals. What is wrong with E!? I really hope someone else will pick it up.
E! sucks anyway. The Royals deserve a better channel that will bring it more fans. I hope a better, more deserving station picks them up!!

Another of my guilty pleasures each year, so sad to see it cancelled and here’s hoping that another station sees it for the fun, naughty and down right scandalous little gem it is. Please someone pick this up as there is still penty of story left to tell……………King Liam xx

Oh please tell me another network will pick up the Royals for a 5th season! I have watched this show since the first episode and am totally hooked. There are too many loose ends to tie up — don’t leave us hanging! The cast too, is stellar. I love ’em all!

I hope someone picks this up, this show is so amazing and full or interesting twists and turns. Its my absolute favorite and it’s also got my favorite couple of all tv shows. It can’t end with that last finale, so many loose ends
I agree. This is amazing show with a great cast.I love this show. I need another season. I really hope some network will pick it up. I hate cliffhanger season finales and then there’s no “next season” to a show.
