NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

I loved The Village. The script was well written, the actors were awesome. There was something in the story line that everyone could relate to. I don’t understand why you left bad shows on ABC and took off The Village. Maybe you didn’t ask enough viewers. I’m a 57 year old AA with a law degree just to know the diversity of your audience. There was nothing on TV as unique as The Village. Kudos to the actors and writers. It’s sad when networks don’t see the value of something very special.

I EarthLink is terrible that you canceled the village The Village was a storyline you didn’t give the people a chance to move the storyline was fantastic the characters that you have plans it was it’s a shame that you can’t even sitting here all this time waiting for season 2 I think it’s a shame you always cancel good series that’s on and leave these corny old series on East TVs and it’s a shame it is a shame shame for good storyline and a good series that the village was I think it’s a disaster
It really sucks that we have a good family show that everyone loves and it gets cancelled. It seems every good show gets cancelled.
Please bring back “The Village” for season 2. It was such a great series!

They canceled a really good family show that you don’t find many on tv anymore. What a shame crappy shoes are still on but the good shows are gone smh

Tha Village was a great show. Shame on you NBC for canceling that and Bluff City Law. Two wholesome shows gone so there’s more room for violence and killing!! No wonder people are going to streaming!!!
