Though the cast and crew of The Whole Truth will get to finish filming their 13 episode commitment, there’s no guarantee viewers will get to see them any time soon. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the show had been cancelled by ABC. Now, it looks like the network is pulling the legal drama from the schedule for the whole month of November.
As previously announced, next week’s episode will be preempted by the interview special In the Spotlight With Robin Roberts: All Access Nashville. The following week, the entire Wednesday night line-up is bumped for the Country Music Awards.
After that, Whole Truth is being replaced by a pair of celebrity specials. On November 17th, ABC will air 25 Years of Sexy: People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive!. The following week, Primetime: Celebrity Plastic Surgery Gone Too Far? will take the timeslot.
It’s unknown if The Whole Truth will return in December or if ABC will keep the remaining nine episodes sitting on the shelf.
What do you think? Will ABC air the rest of the The Whole Truth episodes soon, over the summer, or never?

I’m very disappointed that ABC has canceled “The Whole Truth.” It was one of my favorite new shows. Its format is new and refreshing, the plots are interesting, and the acting is excellent. It is also suspenseful and keeps you guessing right up to the end. It’s hard to believe that ABC would cancel it so quickly, without even giving it a chance. I would like to know why it was canceled. It was the only show on ABC that I liked and watched regularly other than “Jeopardy.” I agree with other posters about the garbage the networks think we… Read more »
What a shame!! Great show – loved the surprise endings….. It was nice seeing Rob Morrow back after Numb3rs. Seems the good shows are yanked without giving them a chance, while the crappy shows stay on…. Go figure…..
I agree with everything said. I loved this show, I miss Numb3rs, and it’s true that the shows that have complex characters and cause us to think rarely last. I especially appreciated the endings. I was a juror on a murder trial earlier this year. It gave me a deep appreciation for the complexity of evidence and reliability of witnesses. In fact, I wrote about it and it was published by crime magazine. The WORST Law and Order I ever watched left it up to the audience to decide the ending. Come on! How lazy is that for a TV… Read more »
The Whole Truth was my favorite new show of the season. I’m very disappointed that it’s been canceled. Most of the shows on, whether 30 or 60 minutes, are so terrible, I can’t watch even a few minutes of them, let alone waste time on them every week. Even Grey’s Anantomy and Private Practice, which I do watch, are starting to get distasteful. They’re not nearly as good as before. I HATED the shooting finale of Grey’s and now it affects every episode. I hate the Charlotte rape situation as well, and suppose it will affect too many episodes of… Read more »
are you kidding me why would you cancel this show everyone in my family watches it.why dont you let us vote on wheither or not to keep the show
I really love this show, I love the fact that they keep you guessing all the way to the end. Too bad that ABC didn’t give it a chance to get it’s viewers. Please bring it back and let it finish up the next few shows.
everyone needs to go to abc.com and scroll to the bottom of the page and click on contact abc and let them know how disappointed you all are about them cancelling the whole truth–maybe they’ll reconsider or maybe at least show the remaining episodes!!! if everyone does it then maybe it will make a difference!!! thanks!
Noooooo….I loved that show!!!
I am really dissapointed with ABC’s decision to cancel “The Whole Truth”. It was one of the bright spots this season. I hope they reconsider, and show this series again. The endings were great. CBS has “The Defenders” and NBC has “Law and order”, I watch all three so please don’t run them aganst each other.
It should be cancelled; every time a TV show comes alog with great actors, a great story-line, and thought-provoking entertainment, the wizzards of LET THEM WATCH FAT PEOPLE SWEATING, chop their heads off…. why even bother trying to get involved with a thinking show.
Big mistake if they cancel!! Love the endings……. SO unlike L&O and those type of shows!
The Whole Truth should be on in the summer. The endings are GREAT but need to have Rob not act like Jack Nickelson!!! Also maybe a new lead female to just change her acting up. It’s going to be real difficult to follow up after Numb3rs…which should not have gone off the air….Donna H.
Cannot believe you cancelled this show and are replacing it with what you are! It is a good, thoughtful show. Please NO MORE REALITY SHOWS!!! and LIST STUFF. We’ve had it with those things.
I love “The Whole Truth”. The stories are interesting, the interaction keeps ones attention. I KNEW as soon as any of the story lines took more than five seconds to try to figure out that this show wouldn’t be around for long. ABC did not give it a chance to develop an audience. The characters are too complex and their lives are interwoven in ways that can’t be seen just every now and again. For people to develop care and concern the show HAS to be seen with consistency. SHAME ON ABC FOR NOT DOING THAT AND NOW BLAMING THE… Read more »
Bring back this show, get rid of some of those stupid REALITY shows!
