Wink Martindale is coming to The Bold and the Beautiful. TVInsider reports the iconic game show host will guest star on upcoming episodes of the long-running CBS soap opera.
Martindale is probably most known as host of the popular game show Tic Tac Dough, which ran from 1978 to 1985. He’s also hosted several other game shows, including Gambit, Debt, and What’s This Song?
During the last week of October, Martindale will play Reverend Brown on The Bold and the Beautiful and officiate the wedding between Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).
From Martindale:
I’ve finally made it! When I was a boy growing up in Tennessee, my mother, God bless her, always wanted me to be a preacher. She’d say, ‘Son, with your voice, I think God intended you to do work in the ministry.’” But Martindale, who had his heart set on a career in radio, wasn’t having it. “It took me years to convince Mother that you don’t just become a preacher. You have to be called to the ministry. She finally accepted that, though it took years. So when I got the preacher job on B&B I thought, ‘Mom would be so proud.’ She got her wish at last!”
Martindale’s guest appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful begins on October 26th.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Wink Martindale? Do you watch The Bold and the Beautiful?
Wink always had the voice I wanted to have in my radio days. He’s one of the all time best game show hosts, along with Bill Cullen, Bob Barker and Jack Narz. Good to see him back on CBS.
