“It’s like a dream.” Amazon has released a new trailer and details for season three of Transparent.

The dramedy stars Jeffrey Tambor as Maura (formerly Mort) Pfefferman, a retired college professor who transitions from male to female later in life. The cast also includes Amy Landecker, Jay Duplass, Gaby Hoffmann, and Judith Light.

During the show’s recent TCA summer press tour panel, the writers revealed that season three will feature a flashback to Maura’s childhood in the 1950s. Sophia Grace Gianna will play the character as a 12-year-old.

Season three of Transparent premieres on September 23rd.
