Tyrant was cancelled after just three seasons on FX, and the reasons behind the shocking cancellation have now been revealed. Bert Salke, the FOX 21 President, spoke about those reasons with The Hollywood Reporter.
Salke said the following:
“We knew after the second year and were really aware that for a show we felt so strongly about — and the fan base felt so strongly about — that the numbers weren’t commensurate with the base for the show. Nobody was more aware than the FX people and John wanted to get in front of it. Chris, Howard and the studio went in with very open eyes and hoping for the best. We were getting behind it the same way we do every year and preparing for any number of outcomes. There were no surprises.”
There is hope that the series will return. Tyrant is being actively shopped to streaming services. It could land on Netflix or Hulu.

I loved the show. It had interesting flow throughout three seasons. All major actors looked and acted authentically. All three seasons were captivating. It ended well. Any more stretch might ruin it unless there are unexpected and interesting twists.
There should come definitely a season 4 with a better ending

It was shocking to see the very well done series Tyrant with an incomplete story after Series 3. Why on earth show it? Many have asked me about it and I have told them that they should count on the film being incomplete. Should they see it? My answer to all was NO
Tyrant is dooper series. I would like to watch the season 4 to see the fate of abuddin, and what happened Bassam.
Interesting show!! Have a more clearer insight to things. The actors hit their characters in point. I still think this show has worth. Reconsider bringing it back.

I am disappointed knowing this show is cancelled but if at the end it was going to show the main characters to die, then it is best to leave it to the imagination of the audience to believe the love between Bassam and Dhalya will conquer all evil.
