It looks like Unforgettable may not be forgotten after all. Word is that CBS is in talks to bring the cancelled series back to the airwaves. According to Deadline, the network is discussing the possibility of bringing Unforgettable back for a 13 episode second season for next summer.
Starring Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh, CBS cancelled Unforgettable in May after one season of 22 episodes. By the end of the freshman season, Unforgettable had averaged a 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 11.3 million total viewers.
It was the highest-rated CBS drama to be cancelled for the 2011-12 season and, had it been on any other network, Unforgettable would have likely have been renewed. At the recent advertiser upfronts, CBS entertainment president noted that it wasn’t “what went wrong with Unforgettable but what went right with the new pilots.”
Following the network cancellation, CBS TV Studios and Sony Pictures began shopping the drama to other channels — including TNT and Lifetime — but apparently didn’t find any takers.
What do you think? Would you like to see Unforgettable return for a second season? Do you think its rating would be better in the summer months?
What a great show. I was sorry it was canceled and would be very happy if it were brought back.
Yes please bring this back it was a great show and it needs another chance.
PLEASE BRING IT BACK,PLEASE BRING IT BACK, P L E A S E B R I N G I T B A C K !!!!!!
I’d love to see this show back on the air. It was entertaining, and so refreshing that it isn’t a reality show. Some of us enjoy fantasy.
I hope they do bring it back. It was one of my favorite shows.
Best mystery drama show on TV reminiscent of a good book with several plots occurring simultaneously. Should never have been canceled in the first place.
Love getting the clues with Carrie as we weave through the hour and how wonderfully fascinating that they use an actual neurological condition that really exists to bring the clues into focus. Good for you CBS – it’s the right thing to do. TV (other than the news) is so stupid anymore and this elevates the intelligence quota and IQ database of viewers.
Such great news. What a suspense the show has been (a plot within a plot) and now we will learn so much more about the characters – a real thriller – addictive – excellent scripts and acting!
CBS – glad you realized there’s huge fanbase that never went below 10 million on a bad day – and 14 million on a good day. Other shows don’t even hit 10 Mil.
thank you for at least considering bringing it back.
I Forgot. What was this show about?
It was torture to watch the show in the fall and winter. No they want me to watch it summer when there are better things to do?
Teach Poppy to develop a second and third expression and they might have a winner.
BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree about waiting until next summer, not a wise move, but it’s definitely better than nothing. This was at least in the top 3 of new favorite shows and they canceled, and dies this mean they are feeling that good about the pilots for this coming season? If they say so, I’ll most likely be saying WTFE next may when they cancel them.
I wasn’t surprised to see it cancelled. After a strong start, its ratings kept dropping steadily and its finale rating was very disappointing. However, it looks like there are enough fans for it to come back as a summer series. I wouldn’t mind seeing that happen.
I was shocked to hear that Unforgettable was being canceled! It’s a “GREAT” show and should air in Sept/October NOT during the summer!!!!!!
I THINK CBS SHOULD BRING BACK UNFORGETABLE , IT MY FAVORITE SHOW, AND I WAS SO MAD WHEN IT GOT CANCELED F OR THE FALL. I AGREE IT SHOW
AIR IN SEPT AND OCT. NOT IN THE SUMMMER. I TEND TO WATCH MORE TV IN THE FALL AND WINTER THAN IN THE SUMMER!
I think Unforgettable should be a replacement series if one of the newbie shows does not perform well. Waiting a whole year to return? That makes no sense. Just air all 13 episodes in September/October for goodness sake. I want & love DYLAN WALSH!
Would definitely LOVE to have this show back…but airing it next summer…by then it would have been a year between the finale of season 1 and the start of the 2nd season…not so sure that will help the ratings
