Season 3 not till 2015. That sucks, I love the show. I cant wait for the next episodes.
I CAN’T WAIT FOR SEASON THREE OF VIKINGS. I ENJOY VIKINGS MORE THAN ANY OTHER TV SERIES.
What the heck!!! We have to wait until 2015 for season 3, this sucks I can’t take it! Thank Zeus for the NFL, damn 8 months plus for this thing to get back on! Guess that’s why it rocks..
Ive read the comments, from one extreme to the other with no center. One person says it doesn’t have the bible as a lead anymore, they were barbarians from the middle half of A.D. and Scandinavian on top of that, of course they wont have the Bible as a lead. I am almost 100% Norwegian myself, this movie portrays my bloodline to be ruthless, mindless, barbaric heathens.. you cant get any more to historical fact than that.. keep the seasons rolling I say.
Perhaps I can clarify. I did not write “lead”, but lead-in. A lead-in is the show immediately in front of your show (with the lead-out after it). A cogent analysis of ratings takes into account lead-ins (and to a lesser degree lead-outs). For instance, famously at the time, a show called Single Guy was canceled by NBC even though it was in the Top Ten (yes NBC used to have shows in the Top ten!) because it was losing too much of its lead-in and lead-out audiences (Friends and Seinfeld or perhaps Frasier if I recall). Without The Bible (the… Read more »
Point well taken and understood. my appologies for the mis un derstanding. However there is one thing i must disagre on, the fact of it not beinv a well made seties is pure opinion in which you are fully entitled yo, and so am i, i still feel it is a well scripted snd played season.
No problem. 🙂
My point is that the low ratings are representative of what I’d call “not very well made”. But it’s great if you like it.
Was there some sort of Christian fundamentalist backlash, because I find it puzzling how several people could insert religion in comments that had none?
Who cares, I love this show! And you are a troll.. Shield wall!! Those are fighting words! Btw there are tons of critically acclaimed shows and films that didn’t pull the ratings that you say depict wether or not a show is any good, poor example my friend.. Use something else, and I watch on google play and my chrome cast doubt that registers in the ratings.
I’m sorry Kevin. I didn’t realize the internet had now become controlled by PR people and only PR people, fans and street teamers were allowed to speak up…
It certainly will cut down on the number of posts with actual facts or [gasp!] debate going on…
It’s certainly a much better world when we all must bow to the PR release…
Excellent reply Shawn Juelson….
Thank you Mrs. Linda Hayes, I fully understand everyone has there opinions and should be accepted as there own, including those who like the show.. even if it doesn’t fit where it should in the timeslot, to be honest I dont watch much television anyway so it doesn’t concern me the before or after… I just know I personally like the show, not to mention, I ment nothing against Mrs. Moretti, just that the greatest things abt opinions is that they are different from each other. and please excuse my spelling, im tired and im trying to write on a… Read more »
Everything that I want in a show. GREAT ENTERTAINMENT
I love this show as well. Glad it got picked up for another season.
I must have a part in this show. I was offered the part portraying Howard Ripley for JTV.
Great show.. hope it stays on for many more years!
this show is fantastic i waited with baited breath for season 2 to come out i do hope there will be more seasons after 2
The 1st ep of the 2nd series was just shown here in Australia, featuring what must be the most pointless small scale ‘battle’ ever filmed. The relatively limited budget of this series doesn’t lend itself to such things and I hope they focus more on character development than anymore disappointing ‘spectacle’ attempts.
Translation: The ratings are going down, down, down (because the show is really bad and it doesn’t have The Bible as a lead-in anymore) so let’s keep up tradition and pretend we have a beloved hit…
And so does Hollywood keep going down and down….
Rena Moretti no one hired you to save our pagan souls….It is a television show based loosely on Viking history….If it offends you don`t watch it….
Again, where did I ever mention religion?!!!??!
Were you seriously not aware that The Vikings was programmed after The Bible (the miniseries – not the book!)?
Sheesh! 🙂
This show is a class act. It gets better with each episode. I was sorry to see that EARL killed in the first season, as that actor did a bang-up job. Am amazed at the acting by all, the sets and the dialogues. Hope it continues for a long time. Keep it up.
YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this show…..
