A Hallmark Channel drama series, When Calls the Heart stars Erin Krakow, Jack Wagner, Pascale Hutton, Kavan Smith, Paul Greene, Andrea Brooks, Chris McNally, and Kevin McGarry. Others in the cast include Andrea Brooks, Martin Cummins, Aren Buchholz, Eva Bourne, Loretta Walsh, Kayla Wallace, Johannah Newmarch, Teryl Rothery, Hrothgar Mathews, Ben Rosenbaum, Jaeda Lily Miller, Donovan Stinson, Jonathan Purvis, Gracyn Shinyei, Kadence Roach, Christian Michael Cooper, Gunnar Taylor, and Lincoln Taylor. Inspired by the Janette Oke novel, the TV series follows Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow), a young teacher from a high society background. She’s assigned to teach in a coal country classroom and it’s a life-changing experience. Now a widow and single mother, Elizabeth faces new challenges but has the support of her surrogate town family, including mysterious gambler Lucas Bouchard (McNally) and Mountie Nathan Grant (McGarry). In season eight, Elizabeth’s relationships with Nathan and Lucas continue to deepen, Faith (Brooks) and Carson (Greene) must make choices about their future, a new family arrives in town, Lee (Smith) and Rosemary (Hutton) get some unexpected news, Bill (Wagner) is asked to return a prized possession and the whole town joins in the excitement as another wedding takes place.

This whole season was nothing but drama and chaos. The very few heartwarming moments were completely overshadowed by this dumb triangle. And then in the end, One of the lead men, after getting trampled on for the entire season, gets no pay off! This was the opposite of Hopeful and Satisfying. I’m done. Clearly this show is going in a different direction. #GoodbyeHopeValley (more like Nope Valley)
I SAID GOOD BYE, TOO! NO MORE, ESPECIALLY AFTER E12 – WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT IN FAMILY TV.
Be aware Season 8 is very different than the previous seasons. Much more of a soap opera feel.
I am done with WCTH. Elizabeth is unrecognizable as a heroine. The writing was choppy and characters were different. The show lost its happy feel. You put Elizabeth with Lucas who she has no chemistry with and ignore her feeling for Nathan. Her comments in breaking if off without Nathan were cruel unnecessary and the last straw. This show should be canceled and put out of its misery. I will not watch regardless
I am very disappointed. Elizabeth picked the wrong man. Lucas still has a secret pass no one knows about. She should of picked the Monty!!!
I have watched 8 seasons of this show. I cannot believe she did not end up with Nathan. What a disappointment. I am done.
I will never watch this show again. All along the show had started out not Janette Oake; and, has gotten farther and farther and farther away from the christian character and values of the books. Christian values, like it or not, communists, is the appeal of the show. Now, you have Faith, not a character in the books, turning down the just about most desirable male character in the show, to have a career instead. Always renew this series. I love it and wish it would play every week. Also, love When Hope Calls…the spin off. When will that aire again? I miss that show as well. Been watching these shows from the very first one and I love them all. People that watch the show need to watch what they say on twitter or any social media. You don’t need to be rude or nasty. If you don’t want to watch it then don’t but don’t spoil it for those of us that love the good FAMILY shows.
Please end this show. It was wonderful but not anymore. Elizabeth should have chosen Nathan. It’s turned into a soap opera.
That is your opinion. Lots of us still love the show no matter who she chose. Nathan will find the one that’s right for him.
