It looks like the reign is over for The White Princess. Recently, star Jodie Comer revealed there will be no season two for the Starz TV show.
A sequel to The White Queen, the historical drama follows the stormy marriage of Elizabeth of York (Comer) to Henry Tudor (Jacob Collins-Levy) during the end of England’s War of the Roses. The cast also includes Essie Davis, Joanne Whalley, Michelle Fairley, Suki Waterhouse, Rebecca Benson, Rhys Connah, Caroline Goodall, Kenneth Cranham, and Vincent Regan.
It’s not a huge surprise that The White Princess is ending with only one season. Its predecessor, The White Queen, was limited to one season as well. However, it remains unclear if there will be a third installment in the Starz historical saga. The series are based on the historical novels of Philippa Gregory and there are several more that detail what happens after the events of The White Princess.

I loved the white princess! I think there would be more viewers if it wasn’t being played on a premium channel it would be great if Hulu or Netflix bought the rights i think its viewers numbers would sky rocket exponentially if it was on a more accessible network. Lets face it cable is dying everything is turning to online to get thier tv now. The lack of viewers was deffinately not due to the show being bad it was spectacular it’s just not very many people can afford to pay 150-200 cable bill just to watch one or two… Read more »

The White Queen and White Princess were truly enjoyable. Gregory has so much more to tell and continue this intriguing story…. PLEASE do something more.
I enjoyed season 1of the white princess, and would love to see the next season air. I hope that things change and is decided to bring it back. Please!!!

Really liked The White Queen, bought the DVD. Liked The White Princess too very much. Do not understand why it is not a popular as The Tudors as it is the history of the family and why Henry VIII was the way he was. Will be buying White Princess DVD as soon as available. Would very much like a season 2.
