It looks like the reign is over for The White Princess. Recently, star Jodie Comer revealed there will be no season two for the Starz TV show.
A sequel to The White Queen, the historical drama follows the stormy marriage of Elizabeth of York (Comer) to Henry Tudor (Jacob Collins-Levy) during the end of England’s War of the Roses. The cast also includes Essie Davis, Joanne Whalley, Michelle Fairley, Suki Waterhouse, Rebecca Benson, Rhys Connah, Caroline Goodall, Kenneth Cranham, and Vincent Regan.
It’s not a huge surprise that The White Princess is ending with only one season. Its predecessor, The White Queen, was limited to one season as well. However, it remains unclear if there will be a third installment in the Starz historical saga. The series are based on the historical novels of Philippa Gregory and there are several more that detail what happens after the events of The White Princess.

Starz is making a mistake. This kind of excellent historical show distinguishes Starz from other programmers. Beautifully done, in all aspects, White Princess was one of my favorites. Maybe Starz just needs to promote it more. I will certainly think twice about starting another Starz series, if I am to be constantly let done by cancellations. One season is not enough: allow word to spread and viewers to get rewarded for the invcstment of their time. Please re-think this decision.

It really stinks that there will be no season 2. I enjoy the series immensely and have watched every episode. Starz is making; yet, another mistake
I’m bummed. I loved both the White Princess and The White Queen. If starz comes out with another “limited series” I’m not going to watch. Not worth it if they are only going to film 8 episodes. Wish they would carry on this story line.
There should be a season two that leads into how Henry vii comes to be on the throne. It leaves so many unanswered questions about what happens next. Please add another season! Such a great series as well as the white Queen..
