What do you think? Have you seen Through the Wormhole? Are you sad the show’s ending?
Will there be reruns?
I wonder if Morgan is sad it is ending – he seemed to enjoy doing the show.
Yes, I am sad that the show is ending. My question is WHY?!
Sad to see such a great program ending.
I would like to know if Morgan Freeman feels “Wormhole” has changed his outlook on life.
I am very sad to see that this show is ending. It is an intelligent show that is enhanced with the presence of Morgan Freeman. It has been a wonderful vehicle to popularize the more abstract aspects of physics. Only The Universe competes with it. Some of the more philosophical episodes that seem to have a quasi religious aspects were a bit off the mark but were still well done. The show did get away from its purpose when they began doing shows about terrorism, sexes, etc. And judging by the title they seem to be leaving on the same… Read more »
Well, its just a sign of the times, the media is all about dumbing us down (particularly the upcoming generations) to assure that we will not unite agaisnt the money mongers (who own the media) that are taking control of America. Any and all shows that use intelligence are pretty much gone now with this program ending.
A pity that viewers perform idiocy like Bigfoot and Ancient Aliens to the real marvels of the universe around us. Typical of our slide into ignorance.
So sad to see Through the Wormhole go. It’s been “Must see” for my family. I liked that it was willing to push the envelope a bit to less “accepted” areas. I enjoyed learning what things are being explored. Much of what is today “accepted” science, less than a generation ago was science fiction..ie “hand held 2-way communicators”.. who knows.. someday we may ACTUALLY say “Beam me up Scotty”! But Through the Wormhole helped us look at what might be possible. Will sorely miss! Need more if this type story vs fishermen, miners & Ancient Aliens!
James is right on point with his assessment! Show started off great but within a couple years had lost me as a fan due to the show distancing itself from actual science. The show started off great when it was centered around physics and cosmology (hence the name of the show) but ‘jumped the shark’ when it went into things like ‘are there more than 2 sexes’! The show only lasted this long do to Mr. Freeman putting his on it! If it were not for him Through the Wormhole would have never made it past season 3, when it… Read more »
In the first few seasons the show’s commitment to giving voice to theorists in cosmology, theoretical physics, and other hard science drew viewers. In the ensuing seasons the commitment to hard science waned, likely to draw more casual viewers. By season five the show had lost its way with, “Is a Zombie Apocalypse Possible?” and “Will We Become God?” If this wasn’t bad enough the show decided to take on political topics with, “Are We All Bigots?”, “Are There More Than Two Sexes?” and in the final season, “Is Gun Crime a Virus?” If you instinctively disagree with this post,… Read more »
Totally agree. I think Freeman ,as a liberal, became more powerful as the seasons came and went. He eventually took over the show and started pushing for social justice type episodes. That or they tried to pander to his views to Keep him on the show. I believe he tried to leave 2 seasons ago
Verysad to see this series end as well. I breath of life on a TV universe overrun with reality TV, cooking show, and endless, stupid commercials. Refreshing to watch a show that challenges the mind and elicits thought instead of mindlessness. Freeman was the perfect choice as a host. I wish him a long and enjoyable future in TV life after Through the Wormhole.
I am truly sad to see yet another very much important educational show disappeare from television the series gave us a whole new way of thinking about the world that we live in today well the universe and to see it leave is a terrible tragedy. I will TRULY MISS it . THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EDUCATING ME FOR 13 YEAR’S . YOU WILL TRULY BE MISSED.
This is a great show my 13 year old loves it, thank for so many great seasons morgan freeman and company!! sad to see you go.
I am sorry that “Through the Wormhole” is having its final season. One of the great things about the series is that complex science theories, ideas are presented in a way that we can understand. Morgan Freeman is an excellent choice to host this show as his interest in the topics clearly come across.
