CW Announces Finale Dates, 90210 Cancellation

90210 cancellationAs reported earlier today, The CW has decided to cancel 90210 after five seasons on the air. The ratings have really slipped this season so it doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Hopefully the producers had time to craft a decent finale.

The network has issued a press release about the cancelation and has included the finale dates for other shows: The Carrie Diaries, Hart of Dixie, Arrow, Supernatural, The Vampire Diairies, Beauty and the Beast, Nikita, and Cult.

Here are the details:

THE CW ANNOUNCES SEASON FINALE DATES FOR ITS PRIMETIME SERIES

“The CW has had five great seasons with America’s favorite zip code, 90210,” said Pedowitz. “I’d like to thank the talented cast, producers, and crew for all their hard work and dedication to the series. We are very proud of the West Beverly High alumni.”

During this final season, the characters put their relatively carefree days at West Beverly High behind them and launched into adulthood, with only their friendships to lean on. The series stars Shenae Grimes as Annie Wilson, Tristan Wilds as Dixon Wilson, AnnaLynne McCord as Naomi Clark, Jessica Stroup as Silver, Michael Steger as Navid Shirazi, Jessica Lowndes as Adrianna Tate-Duncan and Matt Lanter as Liam Court.

It’s a shame, you start to like a show and then before you know it the big wigs close the curtains. I really thought that this version of 90210 would at least go pass season 5. Just like Charmed, it was cut off at its prime.

90210 was a phenomenal show that should have never of been cut, it was a shame that it was cut on such an ending, although the ending was amazing it was not a program ending but meerly a season ending meaning that some characters were not given the ending they diserved after five years of the role. I also feel that there were many untied ends like Silvers ending and Liam’s yello duffle bag. Nether the less it’s my fave route ever show it just eats away at me that I will never be able to watch how everyone’s favorite rich and georgeous charectors story truly ends. If anyone knows of any way I can get even a smidge of satisfaction about the ending that such an emensley epic show deserves let me know as I have only watched it a few weeks ago in the UK and I simply can not rest untill I know thanks.

I LOVED 90210 and i am very upset that it ending. Because of such short notice the ending is gonna be crap and rushed. I used to look so forward to a new season and a new episode each week and they have taken it away from me and many other. Lots of people are disappointed with the CW :(

Supernatural & Beauty & the Beast are the only shows worth watching at the moment, but even I can credit Arrow as a good show. I am a bit worried about BATB, I hope the network sticks with it as I can see great things for that show’s future & its fans.

15 years of 902. Good run. May 13th will be a sad day. The original was iconic. But version 2 wasn’t too shabby. Actually own wardrobe from the original 902. Steve Sanders I got your leather jacket… hope i ends ok. Heard they rewrote ending. Doesnt sound like a great ending. Should of had some notice. Thanks for bringing back 90210. But not cool how your ending things. 902 peace out.

I am disappointed in Cult, and although have given it a good try, don’t believe that we will be tuning in for future episodes. Heart of Dixie (And Emily Owens, however it is already gone) were the only shows I still watch on the network, and ever intended to continue watching. (Well Secret Circle was also one reason I ever tuned into the network in like 4 years, but that too they felt was not worth renewing) So if they get rid of Heart of Dixie, I won’t have any reason at all to ever even check to see what is on the channel at all. I am just glad to see that Heart is advertised as a season not a series finale.

Dear CBS Television Network To Whom This May Concern Getting Over The Ending Of A Beverly Hills 90210 Sequel Is A Good Idea Something I Am Not Planning On Watching. How About Also Giving The Vampire Diaries A Boot? Fans Would Like To See Simon Camden From 7th Heaven Moving Forward Doing Something New ABC Family Is Also Canceling The Secret Life Of The American Teenager Throughout The Springtime -_-

Erin, Cult and Carrie Diaries haven’t been renewed yet for season two and Cult is basically cancelled and Carrie is Likley to get cancelled too. just because it says “season finale” by a first season show dosent mean it has been or will be renewed, it means it’s bubble show that could go either way for renwal or cancellation that the network is still deciding and the “season finale” could and Likley will be CD & Cults series finale.

I knew this season would be the end of 90210 because for the past three seasons this show that I really like was begining to be pretty predicable with almost the same old plots and pointless new villians characters they bring each and every season with no one ever really being happy each and every year.

I my self have gotten tired of it this show had to much potiental with the characters being young adults living all on their it seemed as if they was all still in high school with the pointless plots and storieslines they had for such a great cast of actors.
