TVGuide is reporting that NBC has unceremoniously cancelled Las Vegas after five seasons on the air.
Las Vegas debuted on September 22, 2003 and was touted as actor James Caan’s first series regular role on television. The Academy Award-nominated actor was cast as the Montecito casino’s Head of Security, ‘Big Ed’ Deline. Others in the cast have included Nikki Cox, Josh Duhamel, James Lesure, Vanessa Marcil, Molly Sims, and Marsha Thomason.
Caan left the series last year to return to his movie career and Cox was cut from the show in a cost-cutting move. Caan was replaced by Tom Selleck and it was hoped that the addition of the veteran TV actor would help revitalize the series. It didn’t and, coupled with the series’ move to Friday nights, the ratings dropped significantly.
Last year, Las Vegas was one of the earliest NBC shows to get a renewal notice. What a difference a year can make.
NBC has opted not to renew Las Vegas for season six. Unlike Friday Night Lights, Vegas apparently doesn’t warrant shopping to other possible outlets and fans of the series are left with a cliffhanger. The last two episodes aired last Friday and was first in the ratings for both hours, Unbeknownst to viewers at the time, it was likely the last time we’ll see the staff of the Montecito. Stay tuned!

i want las vegas back!!!
Hello,
I am working as a tv host on the dutch tv and Las Vegas was a big hit in our country! For me and my girlfriend it’s by far our favorite serie ever! Can you send me an e-mail when you get some info about season 6? The cliffhanger with Delinda and the problems with the baby can not be the end! That’s awfull! NBC please this is a note from a young guy (26) that’s working in the bizz…. Bring it back please!!
NBC sucks. Many shows have ended in the past. They have a least made it so no one was wondering what was going to happen. They got off Gilligans Island for God sakes.Throw us a bone here NBC,at least end the show the right way.Do a mini series or something. It sure can’t hurt you. You could use the ratings. That was a great show.Everything has it’s pumps in the road. The cast was great.Loved Tom Selleck.Any time you make major changes in a show that people get use to it takes a few weeks or so to get over the previous star that was great. So what do you say NBC end the show right PLEASE. thanks Linda
Hello everybody! Greetings from Bulgaria. The TV show “Las Vegas” is still running on some of our tv programs. Unfortunately only repeat same and the same seaons. So please NBC, make everyone in the world happy. In this financial crisis, Las Vegas may be the only show to break away from our problems. Love, frinedship, family, winning and loosing, all in Las Vegas. Make the end the way we want. All i mean all of them, like one big happy family in one big house-Montecito. I just wathed the last episode, and tomorrow I have an exam. How i am going to sleep in this sad end?!?!
I HAVE FOLLOWED THIS SHOW FOR ONE SEASON AND THEN BECAUSE I WAS SO UNHAPPY, CONFUSED, ABOUT THE ENDING, I WATCHED IT AGAIN FROM START TO FINISH HOPING THAT I WOULD FINALLY FIND OUT THE ENDING BUT IT ENDED AGAIN WITH THE SAME EPISODE WHERE DELINDA IS GOING INTO LABOR AND COOPER SHOWS UP WHEN EVERYONE THINKS HE IS DEAD AND IT STOPS THERE. THAT CAN NOT BE THE END OF A SHOW THAT I HAVE WATCHED ABD ENJOYED FOR YEARS, PLEASE TELL ME THAT THERE IS MORE TO THE STORY.
when lv was on the air it was a show that was never missed by me, the fact that was cancelled really pissed me off, we the fans were left hanging big time, the reruns are great but it sucks when cooper walks in from a supose plane crash, delinda having problems with the baby, and the next episode is the pilot, do something about this because its wrong, the show could ran at least 2-3 years nbc sucks
TNT please pick it up! You will get pretty good ratings. SCREW NBC!
the reason why the show died is because Danny’s character should have wound up with Mary not Delinda. No one liked Delinda . After they took Nikki Cox off the show it sucked.
BRING BACK LAS VEGAS!!!!!
It’s fine…never claimed to be a typist but I CAN SPELL my fingers can’t.
Sorry Randy, that was rude of me!! Cheers!!!
I JUST SENT THE FOLLOWING TO NBC CUSTOMER COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT, I RECOMEND YOU ALL DO THE SAME. THANKS, JASON
******FOLLOW THE LINK POSTED NY JAMES DAVIDSON!!!!!
ATTN: HEAD OF NBC: Bring back Las Vegas or many people will boycot your network. Please see the following link and READ IT!!!!!!

Please take all of our comments into consideration, you owe us that much!!!!!!!! One final episode would be good, BUT, bringing back the show for a few more seasons would be much better!! Help us out here!!!
Thank You,
Jason
I think we are preaching to the choir here!! Seriously, do you really think any BIG SHOT from NBC is really reading this? I doubt it! Someone needs to forward this to NBC, or get them on the phone. Randy, your spelling sucks!! How are they going to take us seriously if some us us can’t spell! I’m going to quote Randy here. “(which keep NBC sponcers) & (ONLY VAGAS CAN SUPPLY)” C’mon!! It’s VEGAS. Anyways, enough about that. The it’s not likely they will give us a finale, or continue the show. It pisses me off, bigtime!! NBC needs to get that reality stick out of there ass and give us more Las Vegas….. Las Vegas is most definately one of my all time favorites! As far as Cooper is concerned, I like him. He’s no Ed, but he was growing on me. the show would have been fine with him in Ed’s place. Also, Piper is a better fit than Mary. That all folks! Hopefully, we will see more Vegas in the future!!
