Last Resort: Cancelled Quickly or a Big Hit?

Last Resort canceled quickly or big hit?ABC’s new action TV series, Last Resort, has impressive production values and talent. As we know however, those aren’t a guarantee of ratings success. Will Last Resort be cancelled quickly, a moderate success or a big hit instead?

The TV series takes place in the submarine Colorado when its officers are mysteriously ordered to destroy Pakistan. Sensing that something isn’t right, they require confirmation and are subsequently fired upon and hunted. The cast of Last Resort includes Andre Braugher, Scott Speedman, Daisy Betts, Robert Patrick, Daniel Lissing, Dichen Lachman, Camille de Pazzis, Sahr Ngaujah, Jessy Schrams, and Autumn Reeser.

Last Resort is airing in one of the toughest timeslots of the 2012-13 season. It airs opposite The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men on CBS, The X Factor on FOX, 30 Rock and Up All Night on NBC, and The Vampire Diaries on The CW. ABC has ordered 13 episodes to start.

Does this TV show sound interesting? Before you share your opinions below, check out these previews:

What do you think? Do you think Last Resort will be cancelled quickly, a moderate success or a big hit? Will you watch it live, DVR, or skip it altogether?

Looks like a good show which is sure to get cancelled. People rather watch the brain dead reality crap or the stupid crime who done its.

The premiere of Last Resort was on the best I’ve seen this season. Not only is it shot in Hawaii (I used to live on Oahu), but Campbell is an amazing director. They should probably move it into a time slot with a little less competition, but with its political intrigue and character drama it might be able to hold its own against The Big Bang Theory.

Watched the first show from beginning to end. A good reason to switch to Law & Order re-runs.

It was alright but the acting is cringe worthy! So so bad

Thoroughly enjoyed this, an unexpected pleasure. It’s also nice to see a military show on network television. Looking forward to seeing where the show takes us, it’s going to be interesting!

I loved it…but where in Hawaii was it filmed?

WK September 27, 2012 at 6:41 pm

Saw first show. Loved it! Strong characters. I will continue watching it live and have kicked the other competing time slot shows to the curb. Interested to see how characters grow. It will be difficult to keep up the action pace…but that’s what I like. Hope others tune into the show.

I mark this one for an early demise.

EXCELLENT!!! Can’t wait for next week and for ABC to put the full episode up for online viewing. Best show to come down the pike in a very long time!

Watching it now. A little confusing right now. Lots of characters to figure out. It may be “LOST” underwater?

I saw the pilot the other day and I thought it was very good. I can’t wait to see where this goes.
