Year-to-year, the network was up slightly but that’s not very encouraging when you consider ABC was airing the big bomb known as Charlie’s Angels. It was a distant third in its timeslot in the demo and a close third in viewers — behind The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men on CBS and The X Factor on FOX. This is a tough timeslot but Last Resort clearly didn’t rise to the challenge.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Last Resort TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Loved this show! So intense, well written and marvelously acted. I think the network did a lousy job of promoting it. Also don’t believe the network has the guts to continue airing a show that makes us think, especially about things like liberty, personal integrity, justice and what might happen if those in control of our government are more interested in money and power than in doing the right thing. The network big shots are obviously only interested in putting dollars in their pockets and filling our minds with a bunch of fluff (however entertaining that fluff sometimes may be).
I think networks should give each show at least two season if you don’t make it be then, there are no excuses. I really liked this show and will buy the DVD when it comes out. I recorded it from direct tv but will delete once I get the DVD.
With all the reality shows, same old murder mystery’s ,This show and Vegas are about the only shows that I’ve been getting into. ABC this show beats “lost”. I remember NBC killing Star Trek. Can you give the show a break???
