The Ricky Gervais comedy Life’s Too Short is coming to an end. The show will wrap on HBO later this year with a series finale special.
The mockumentary-style series ran for one season of seven episodes. They aired on HBO from February 19 until April 8, 2012.
Life’s Too Short follows an actor (Warwick Davis) who’s desperate to revitalize his sinking career. Gervais and his frequent collaborator, Stephen Merchant, created the TV series and also appeared in it.
Gervais had been talking about doing a Life’s Too Short special since the summer when it became clear that there likely wouldn’t be a second season. HBO has now committed to the special.
What do you think? Were you a fan of the show? Are you looking forward to the wrap-up special?
I loved this show!!! I am also a big fan of Warwick. I saw Willow as a child and it’s one of my favorite movies, I’m shocked not many have seen it. Warwick is awesome!
I love this show, I am so sad to hear it is being cancelled I hope the special makes a splash and more episodes are done Warwick is hilarious. This is my favorite show, I am just a viewer but please market the show and give it another shot
THe show was hilarious and classic to me. I hate everything on t.v. but I would watch these episodes over and over. I had em memorized. Cheryl his secretary was funny as hell too. Sucks its not getting a second season. That and “curb season 9” were the only shows I was checkin for
I love Ricky and all his stuff but life’s too short just didn’t excite me as much as extras still does! it was a bit egotistical to me. I know the whole concept, I understand it. Johnny Depp was the highlight! he was fantastic and I thought Warwick was great in it. It was really just missing something for me.
I would like to see An Idiot Abroad come back.
