TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Longmire is such an intelligent show. Not like so many reality and other junk that passes for entertainment these days. Please renew it. We miss Walt and Henry!
Why would you take a good show off the air like Longmire? They need to put it back on it was something I watched every Monday night. Why do these networks take off good shows that people enjoy watching and then put in their places that stuff you want to call entertainment in that “Reality” junk and that is what you call entertainment. Watching grown people look foolish and rude towards each other. With all the bad language that to me is not entertainment and should not be on tv at all. Television has really gone down hill.
The best show on tv please bring it back
Longmire had the potential to be another “Gunsmoke.” WHY would you throw away such a winner??? You only cater to the mindless dumb-downed crowd, & worry about “numbers.” You never even gave Longmire a chance to grow! Take notice A&E, there are millions of mature watchers who crave intelligent, substantial, good acting, shows. We are not going away soon & we’ll all stop watching A&E – period! Whomever yields the ax should be REPLACED!! You certainly did not take into consideration the over-40 crowd. Get with the program, and put Longmire back on television!!!!
WHY do they always cancel the most interesting, intelligent shows on tv? I LOVED Longmire. Is there a law in la-la land that says shows have to be banal & stupid to get air time? Bring back Longmire!! Bring back Longmire!!
What is wrong with these tv stations? Why would you cancel a fantastic show like Longmire? It is one of the best new things to come out in many years and it needs to be continued on some channel.
Please keep it going…love this show!
Longmire is a great show and should not be cancelled by A&E !!! NETFLIX should pick-up the 3rd season and if there’s a 4th season or more those seasons should be picked-up too!
Keep this show going along with hell on wheels. These are shows the family all can enjoy.
Anonymous, you’re”right on”. Hell onWheels and Longmire should both be renewed!
My husband and I really enjoy this show. It is a great series with great actors. I have been waiting for its return. I have my DVR set so as I don’t miss any episodes. Please don’t cancel this show.
Great Series, it should be renewed
Finally a decent, well acted TV show, an adult western with a good following. Bring it back with ALL the actors. PLEASE! Enough of the silly “comedies” for the Yuppies.
Longmire is one of the best shows I have had the pleasure to watch in years, so why would anyone in the position of any network even think about canceling it. I hope it can resurface somewhere else with a bigger audience available.
Great series finally arealistic cop show it’s akeeper!!!!
Longmire should be continued. It is far more entertaining than much of the current programing.
