TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
I am upset, NBC cancels shows all the time that are great SHOWS. I loved watching Revolution, and looked forward to every Wed Night. I am to the point I will not watch anymore NBC if they cannot renew this show, because the replacement show that is taking this place they will do the same thing to them. Why start watching a TV Series if they want to continue to cancel them. I wish TNT would pick them up.
Are they crazy this is a great show someone needs to pick it up if they are to dumb to keep it going.
i really enjoyed the series and the cast of characters especially miles , monroe and elizabeth shepherd. compared to the junk they have on television now this show is a classic. lots of action and plot twists. i will miss this show!!!!!!
I was very upset when I read it was the SERIES finale, not the SEASON finale!! The new direction the show would have taken made sense and seemed plausible. It could have continued on for at least two or more additional seasons. What a bunch of hooey!! I would definitely watch it if it was brought back!!
WOW! Again another great show being canceled. What the heck are they thinking. Who cares about all the stupid reality shows – how about canceling all or some of those. I hope they fire whoever is responsible for making these stupid decisions. The shows are supposed to be for us the viewers, so if the ratings are low, change the date and time of the show. They have over a million followers – isn’t that enough!!! I hope they reconsider, it is not too late!
I loved this series, Why? There are sit coms that should be canceled. Reality shows that need to be canceled.
This is one of the best shows around!!!!!!! I’m done watching NBC!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would NBC do such a thing? i cant believe it i thought there would be more, sadly i didn’t know much about NBC now i do and they are complete ********.
revolution is an excellent series. i hope some other network will pick it up.
don’t ever get hooked on a series at NBC they cancel shows and don’t care about the viewer having an ending to a show, your better off watching shows on sy fy or tnt, thet conclude there shows with a ending for there viewers, with NBC its to hell with there viewers!!!!
I hate when dramas & comedies get cancelled and then replaced with BS reality shows!!! But NBC has a history of just cancelling series, do they even bother to see if a better time slot would improve ratings and bolster fan base. this is why I rarely allow myself to start a series with NBC.
I thourghly agree ! Please consider signing the below petitions. NBC doesn’t see this website . I agree, NBC Constantly Cancels Shows without Thinking, I appreciate they (NBC) will Show Some Brains in the Past, Present, and The Future
My family & I really enjoyed this TV series, and that’s including my six year old son. I hate it when a really good show comes on and then gets cut. Please reconsider bringing back Revolution!!
Why do American Tv cancel the best shows half way through Revolution is one of the best shows on Tv. I think Sky tv should not pay American companies for programs if they are axed.
Me and my wife enjoy Revolution very much and we would like to see it continue.
We love the show, please at least sum up the show with a final happy conclusion. This is what would happen to our planet with a solar flare, pole shift, etc. or other failures of the grid system (minus the nano nonsense). Very interesting plots and characters, didn’t get enough publicity.
