The Mindy Project: Season Two Ratings

mindy project ratingsThe Mindy Project could easily have been cancelled last season due to low ratings. Will FOX be glad that they renewed it for a second season? Will the ratings improve? We’ll have to wait and see.

The Mindy Project follows the life of a young obstetrician/gynecologist (Mindy Kaling) who tries her best to figure out both her personal and professional lives. Her co-workers are played by Chris Messina, Ed Weeks, Ike Barinholtz, Zoe Jarman, Beth Grant, and Xosha Roquemore.

The higher a show’s ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically the following morning, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

The Mindy Project should never be cancelled yet. They need to lower down the broadened independencies and increase a little bit on dependencies along the way in this second season.

Broadened independencies can cause too many imbalances and lost-focusings on everything. Dependencies will result in balances and we will focus better on what is important. Both Peter and Beverly characters need some balances on their own levels. The irritating young woman nurse character needs to be added as a ninth member so both Peter and that irritating young woman character can settle down. The cranky old man doctor characters needs to be added as a tenth member so Beverly can gain more relief at her own company and young adults can respect both Beverly and that cranky old man doctor character properly.

I love the show and make sure I never miss an episode!!
It’s hard for me to get into shows, so don’t cancel this!
There are much worse shows out there than this!

I never understood why Kaling has a show. She is zero funny. At best, she was a fringe character on The Office but the moment Steve Carell left, there wasn’t enough combined talent to keep the show going. I guess Fox keeps her due to the sympathies towards Asian Indians…but that’s wearing thin.

Mindy is great!!! Love the show. I don’t know what this guy means by “sympathies towards Asian Indian”? What is there to be sympathetic about?

Bruce, have you even seen the show? It’s not JUST about Mindy. Commenting on something you know nothing about makes you look ignorant. For the longest time my boyfriend refused to watch it with me and called it a chick show. He finally gave in a couple of months back and now absolutely loves it. People not being open to Mindy is the problem… And possible racism as you have clealy pointed out.

Mindy Kaling was a writer for the Office. She wasn’t in a lot of sceens because writers needed to direct the scenes they wrote.
