Last week, we reported that FOX had ordered a pilot for their 24 reboot series, 24: Legacy. Now, TVLine reports that the original cast will not be returning, including Yvonne Strahovski.
Strahovski played CIA agent Kate Morgan in the 2014 24 limited series, 24: Live Another Day.
FOX explained that both Strahovski and the series’ original lead, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), won’t be returning because 24: Legacy will feature an all-new cast and new story.
FOX CEO Dana Walden said the new series will “start from scratch,” focusing on “a military hero who encounters a troubled return to the U.S.”
Walden also mentioned the new series will forego the original’s 24-episode structure. Instead, 24: Legacy will feature 12 episodes.

I really love 24 it’s my favourite series ever I’ve watched every season including Live Another Day but you can’t have 24 without Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) he makes the series, I know he is in a new series called Designated Survivor and I will be watching it when it hits UK screens. I’ve heard that Carlos Bernard and Mary Lynn Rajskub will be in 24 Legacy and I’m happy about that but surely they have to rescue Jack from the Russian’s and I was really hoping they would bring back Kate Morgan so I’m disappointed about that but please… Read more »
