The wait is almost over for fans of CBS’ The Amazing Race and Undercover Boss TV shows. CBS has announced that the long-running reality TV shows will return in 2017. The network has also renewed Survivor for a 34th cycle for the spring. The network made the announcement today in a press release that also highlighted the premiere dates for new TV shows Ransom, Training Day, and Doubt.
Season 30 of The Amazing Race will launch on Friday, April 21st, at 8pm. The reality series will launch with a two-hour premiere, one week after the season finale of MacGyver. It’s worth noting that the 2016-17 season marks the first time that the globe-trotting competition hasn’t aired in both the fall and spring since 2007. Phil Keoghan returns as host.
Season eight of Undercover Boss will premiere with a special two-hour episode on Wednesday, December 21st, at 8pm. The next week will have a one-hour installment and it will air until the time period premiere of new reality series, Hunted, on January 25th. As previously announced, Hunted premieres Sunday, January 22nd, immediately following the NFL’s AFC Championship game.
Season 34 of Survivor will debut with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, March 8th, at 8pm — one week after the conclusion of Hunted. Episodes will be one-hour installments after that and, of course, Jeff Probst returns as host.
What do you think? Are you planning to watch the new seasons of any of these CBS shows? Do you have a favorite? Will you check out Hunted?
