NBC is sticking with Simon Cowell. Deadline reports the America’s Got Talent judge will stay on the series through 2019.
Cowell joined the reality competition series last year when he replaced long-time judge Howard Stern.
Recently, NBC renewed America’s Got Talent for a 12th season, which will feature Cowell and returning judges Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel. Host Nick Cannon will also return.
From NBC executive Paul Telegdy:
“It was terrific to see Simon in his judge’s chair this past season, bringing his unique expertise and enthusiasm to the show, night after night. His brilliance has made AGT the industry leader that it is today and his ability to evaluate and spot talent is unmatched, so we couldn’t be happier to have him seated at the judge’s table for the next three years.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of America’s Got Talent? Are you glad Simon Cowell is staying?
I’m glad he’s staying in America’s Got Talent until 2019 and if he ever gets Fox to revive The X Factor for a fourth season by 2017, I’ll be glad.
What America’s Got Talent needs is a new logo and it should be similar to the international versions of Got Talent. Including Britain’s Got Talent logo.
