Netflix is returning to Prince Edward Island. The streaming service just announced season three of Anne with an E will premiere in January.
Based on the Anne of Green Gables novels, the Canadian drama centers on 13-year old orphan Anne Shirley (Amybeth McNulty) and her adventures on Prince Edward Island. The cast also includes Geraldine James, R.H. Thomson, Dalila Bela, Lucas Jade Zumann, and Corrine Koslo.
Season three of Anne with an E premieres on Netflix on January 3rd.

I’ve always loved this story because my red-headed mother was an orphan. Hits you in the feels. But I discovered this great re-make while recovering from my kidney transplant. It makes me cry, laugh, remember my love for words and witty phrases, and that it’s okay to be imaginative. Ideas and designs are what give hope for the future. If we can have fun together and create together, we can live together. This show reinforces a respect for life, and with a new working kidney, my respect for life is massive. : my gosh I am 71 and so pleased to see a show that isn’t about asses and elbows. this show you can actually sit with kids and not be afraid some disturbing parts will show up. I don’t have any kids but it is a pleasure to see something that is what TV needs and more of .THANKS PS not a prude just sick of the constant bombardment of flesh sex booze drugs even commercials are off the wall. Remember when star’s couldn’t even get in the same bed.
I absolutely LOVE this new version of Anne. I have been watching various versions all my life and this one is fantastic. There is room in this world for all the “Anne’s”… but I think Moira Walley-Beckett hit it out of the park. The cast is fantastic, the connection to nature, the scenery and the heartfelt stories have been wonderful. I look forward to MORE.
