Cop shows are a dime a dozen on network television, but what about APB? Is it special? Should FOX’s freshman police series be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
The APB drama follows Gideon Reeves (Justin Kirk), a billionaire engineer who uses his own money to reboot one of Chicago’s police districts into a technologically innovative force. The cast also includes Natalie Martinez, Caitlin Stasey, Ernie Hudson, Taylor Handley, and Tamberla Perry.
APB premiered on February 6th to a moderate rating of 1.47 in the 18-49 demo with 6.10 million viewers. However, the ratings have dropped dramatically over the course of its first season. Currently, the show is averaging a 0.81 rating in the 18-49 demo and 3.57 million viewers.
Given the numbers, it’s highly unlikely that FOX will renew APB for a second season. The finale is expected to air on April 24th.
What do you think? Are you a fan? Do you think that the APB TV show should be renewed for a second season?
please do not cancel
Each episode of APB leaves you wanting more, what’s going to happen next. This show is what I look forward to watching on Monday’s and since it is a Monday show, it’s a great way to end the evening. Season 2 should definitely become a reality!
Sincerely,
A BIG fan
I happen to like APB please don’t cancel it it is new and innovative. Its way better then some of the crap out there
Innovative. Fun use of science and technology. Believable characters. One of my favorite shows. Please renew for another season.
*how
I would really love to see a season two of APB. It’s a really great show with a lot of cool technology equipments being invented. It’s really creative throw they come up with those ideas. Please have a season 2
Please bring next season 2
I really enjoyed the first season. Please renew
I like the show a lot. Sure, there were a few ‘lull’ episodes, but it’s a fun take on your average cop show, and gives a glimpse of the future of law enforcement. FYI it’s based on a true story about a wealthy NOLA resident setting up a few semi-privatized police officers in his neighborhood. So, it’s not THAT far away! Somewhat Orwellian but also a neat glimpse into how citizens can help make their streets safer.
I really enjoy the show and never miss an episode. I vote to renew but fear they will cancel it anyway.
My wife & I love this show! I am a retired, experienced tv producer/Director.
I tend to be critical of production values & storylines. I’m not in the “golden demos” club, but 70+ adults actually have MORE money to spend. APB is a wonderful way to marry the old with the new with a plausible storyline. It is one of the most fun shows in what is a miserable desert of crap! Give it a chance too develop a following!
This show is my favorite new show. It’s the only one that I absolutely must watch ASAP! There are other shows I like (even ones on other channels… shhhhh!) but this one is special and I can’t wait to view it. Justin Kirk is amazing as Gideon and Natalie Martinez is great as Murphy. Ernie Hudson is a very believable Captain, Abraham and Caitlin play their roles, Pete and Ada, beautifully. A great cast, exciting storylines, and a breath of tomorrow… what’s not to like?
Really enjoy APB with the conflict between tech and ethical dilemmas. Character development is great to watch the progression over the season and hope for more.
Absolutely! APB is currently among my favorite TV shows! The new tech they reveal every episode is very enjoyable to see, since I’m a huge geek/nerd myself. Don’t take that away, please. APB is just the fresh breath of air I needed. It’s also like the only modern show out there right now with its whole premise built around advanced tech being applied to everyday situations. This kind of thing is not only entertaining to watch, it gets people excited and curious, and gives them ideas and inspiration to delve into science and engineering. This show is nothing but good,… Read more »
I enjoy watching this show, especially the main actors and how they feed off each other. I watch this show every week, so please renew for a Season 2.
