IFC didn’t score with their Benders TV show so there won’t be a second season. The hockey comedy has been cancelled.
Debuting in October, Benders revolves around a group of guys who love hockey and form a team — The Chubbys — to play in a local amateur hockey league. The cast includes Chris Distefano, Steve Schirripa, Steve Greenstein, Andrew Schulz, Lindsey Broad, Mark Gessner, and Ruy Iskandar.
The series ran for eight episodes to low ratings. The season/series finale, which ran on November 19th, drew just 88,000 viewers. Earlier this month, IFC cancelled Gigi Does It, another low-rated new comedy series.

What do you think? Do you like the Benders TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Was entertaining, mainly because I love hockey and was pretty true to rec hockey . Not surprised it’s cancelled but it wasn’t terrible.
