Another TV show is shuffling off this mortal coil to the great beyond. Freeform has cancelled its Beyond TV show after two seasons. Since there will be no season three, the March 22nd season two finale, “There’s No Home for You Here,” will have to suffice as the unintentional Beyond TV series finale.
A Freeform sci-fi drama, Beyond stars Burkely Duffield, Romy Rosemont, Michael McGrady, Jonathan Whitesell, Dilan Gwyn, Jeff Pierre, and Eden Brolin. The mystery centers on Holden Matthews (Duffield), who woke after a dozen years in a coma to find himself in the midst of a conspiracy — in a changed world.
Beyond: A Look at the Ratings
The second season of Beyond averaged a 0.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 244,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 48% and 56%, respectively. Overall, it was the least watched of Freeform’s scripted TV shows, and only rose one spot in the demo, so the cancellation makes sense.
Deadline has confirmed the Beyond cancellation by Freeform.

Why do they cancel these shows just as they’re starting to find their feet and have a chance at real success? Few ‘successful’ shows in this genre rate well in the first 2-3 seasons. There is real potential here – certainly more than many which continue under better management. Please give ‘Beyond’ more of a chance in every way – more than 10 eps – hard to pull the audience in with short runs, etc… Bring it back and let it have a fair go.
Nooooo!!!! I’m so sad! I’m just now seeing this as I was looking to see when season 3 would premiere! I’m with you, you have to build your audience. I’m so sick of shows being cancelled while I’m on the edge of my seat to find out what is going to happen only to find out I will never know. Ugh! 🙁

Yea me and my wife just finished season 2 on hulu and we are hooked cant belive that it’s over they should at the very least do a short season 3 to wrap it up in a way where we are not left on a cliff like they did maybe after people watched it on hulu they might want to partner up for a hulu free form only 3rd season….think about it please cant leave use hanging like you did

Please, Freeform, don’t cancel the series Beyond, it’s very good, it has so amazing story, and super scenes. Please, Everyone wants this series to continue…
I really do believe that y’all should bring back Beyond because that is a really good show to watch and I love it and on top of that you guys ended it crazy so there needs to be more episodes another season should be replied y’all can’t leave us hanging like that I want to know what happened to Willa and everybody else and how holding him gets her back that’s a cold way of leaving us hanging like that y’all need to bring season 3 in and more seasons after that please and thank you and God bless
Really, viewership ratings? Nielsen ratings went obsolete post- On Demand and Streaming and of course, their offspring: Binging. The networks must catch up to their own inventions for viewing ease and convenience. Don’t offer On Demand-Streaming and then punish the viewers for banking episodes for binging. There are some shows I intentionally bank for multi- episode viewing (they’re that good; got to watch at least two back to back). I will never watch freeform again if y’all don’t get BEYOND back on air and I also have a lot of family that want be watching anymore if this show is not brought back. I am 27 yrs old and my mother is 50 we absolutely love this show… Yall might want to rethink this cancellation
Why why why do the awesome shows keep getting cancled.. Im 24! I dont have time to watch it when it airs.. So i watch it when i can on Hulu… I also dont have cable! Please stop letting viewers get sucked into a,bad a show just to cancel it after 1 or 2 seasons! Uhgggg! Bring back beyond!!
My son and I love Beyond so much is one of the greatest shows on TV I don’t understand why you would have to cancel something that is actually a good show to watch please put Beyond back on for season 3 and continue it their wonderful actors is a great show
Not only people 49 and under watch TV. Just found this show and watched the 2 seasons, only to find you have cancelled the show and hung it every-way from Sunday. If I had seen advertising for this show, I can guarantee I would have been watching sooner. Why do all the good shows get cancelled? I do not do “live TV”.
Just found this show on TV time, saw it had 2 seasons and was a newer show. I really got into it and then found out that there will be no season 3. Why do all of the good ones seem to get canceled. Was there not enough sex and nudity in this series so it was canceled. I do not understand why, it does not have to be the 18 to 24 demo look at other demos for ratings as well. I’m really not happy that Beyond was cancelled only 2 seasons in.They say it’s because of low ratings.Peehaps they don’t realize how many loved the show. Honestly if they don’t bri g the show back.I’ll be completely done with freeform!
