Big news for The Big Bang Theory. Variety reports stars Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch have finalized their contracts for seasons 11 and 12 of the CBS TV show.
The popular comedy, which is currently in its 10th season, also stars Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar, and Simon Helberg. As reported earlier, CBS renewed the sitcom for two more seasons after lengthy contract renegotiations with the cast.
Bialik and Rauch have reportedly finalized a deal for the final two seasons of The Big Bang Theory that will earn them $500,000 per episode. That’s a huge raise compared to their previous salary, which was $175,000 per episode.
In March, we reported the five core cast members (Parsons, Galecki, Cuoco, Nayyar, and Helberg) each took a pay cut of $100,000 per episode for seasons 11 and 12 so Rauch and Bialik could receive raises. Previously, the five had earned $1 million per episode of the CBS series.
What do you think? Do you watch The Big Bang Theory? Are you glad Rauch and Bialik got a raise?
The show continues to be a top of the class entertainment on Television. The cast are great and blend with each other with all the problems that a family experiences. They are all excellent actors and perform accordingly. I would like to see Raj get into a serious relationship, as this would complete the show. As it is, he is struggling to maintain his friendships with the Guys, especially since his long standing fear, that Sheldon gets a partner before him has become reality..
How beautiful That the star cast players in Big Bang Theory all took $100,000 cut each soap Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch could get raises!! Spreading the love ♡♡
glad we’ll get 2 more yrs of BBT!!! My favorite show!!!! glad Melissa And Bayim are getting a nice raise. They deserve it.
I am happy they will all be back for more comic entertainment. My husband and I love this show, to the point of watching reruns every evening.
Whatever it be, the quality of the content has gone down the drain over the years. This show has become unfunny and desperate in its gags. Although I still watch it, I wish the writing were better.
They are paid what the market can afford to pay them
Great that they got a raise
There is something truly wrong with the world when an actor can make more in a year than good, hardworking people can make in a lifetime. I’m not saying they make no contribution to the world, but this is like paying me 500 dollars to open a door for an elderly person. It’s completely unreasonable amounts of money for what they do. They should seriously be ashamed at this point.
I agree the show is great and ALL the main characters need to be back! However all are overpaid compared to the military, teachers, nurses, caregivers to the elderly and disabled. We need a more equal pay scale for the middle class workers! Hear that all you politicians and media millionaires.
I watch the show and it’s fair for them to receive more money. I thought that the other cast members took a little pay cut to free up some money for the remaining cast members. They’ve become such integeral parts of the storylines that their pay hike is overdue.
The show is excellent. The comic relief it brings enhances the day. I watch the new as well as the reruns. It’s an excellent team of actors who portray their roles so well. Glad they are all back! Would be nice to see the Barry Kripke character around a bit more. I miss the humour he brings
Yes, I enjoy watching them, even the reruns. The show wouldn’t be the same without the main cast.
Yeah, glad it all worked out. The show wouldn’t be the same without them!
I think they should be paid as much as the main cast, even though they are all overpaid
YES!! They were way underpaid in comparison. However, they are all paid way over what any actor should be paid. Love the show, but all actors and sport’s people should never be paid millions of dollars! Give the millions to teachers and nurses.
I agree, all are over paid…. specially sports people….. and they could all help out the military by donating some of that money! Now back to the show…. I love BBT and am thrilled that it’s still on. I feel like we got to see them all grow up.
