Black-ish will be back in black(ish). This week, ABC announced they’ve renewed the TV series for a fourth season.
The sitcom revolves around an African-American family who are living the American dream — but that may be too much of a good thing for the family’s dad. The cast includes Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, Marsai Martin, and Laurence Fishburne.
A renewal for Black-ish is not that surprising. Recently, we reported the show was picked up for syndication on BET and FX networks, which adds significantly to the show’s profits. Additionally, the comedy has always been a consistent performer for ABC in the ratings.
Season three of Black-ish is currently averaging a 1.57 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.301 million viewers, making it one of ABC’s top-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.
What do you think? Do you watch Black-ish? Are you glad it’s been renewed?
I just discovered Black-ish A couple of months ago great show one of the best I’ve seen and I’m a 52 year old black male
I absolutely Love this show. It’s so informative, and so Real.
I simply am in LOVE with this show, being a almost 40 year old black man, i’ve been waiting for a show to tackle all of the real issues of race while also keeping us hilariously entertained, highy intelligent show. I can not stop laughing nor would i want to, hope it stays on for 6 more yrs!
Absolutely thrilled Blackish has been renewed for a fourth season. This is one of only a couple of shows we watch as a family. Spreading the word in the UK.
I LOVE THIS SHOW
I LOVE Blackish
This show is really a good show in that it has substance and always has a message. TV needs more quality shows with substance in all genres.
Blackish is a funny ,quality show. it would be a travesty not to let this show run its course certainly more than 4 years.
Thank you! I love GOTHAM!!!
I love this show, and glad it’s renewed. But the news of Last Man Standing’s cancellation puts a damper on things right now, especially when the latter show apparently outperforms the former show… on a Friday night at that.
Hilarious show. AA finally has a hit sitcom. His other tries failed.
