Fans of Black Mirror are in for a treat. Entertainment Weekly reports the Netflix TV show will soon be available as a series of books.
Created by Charlie Brooker, the UK anthology drama features stories that explore modern society’s relationship with technology. Season three, which premiered in October 2016, stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Mackenzie Davis, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Earlier this week, Penguin Random House announced they will release a three-volume series of books based on the Netflix TV show. The Black Mirror books will be edited by series creator Charlie Brooker and feature writing from popular authors. The first volume is expected to be released in early 2018.
From Brooker:
All-new Black Mirror stories from exciting authors — that’s a joyous prospect. And they’re appearing in a high-tech new format known as a ‘book.’ Apparently, you just have to glance at some sort of ‘ink code’ printed on paper and images and sounds magically appear in your head, enacting the story. Sounds far-fetched to me, but we’ll see.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Black Mirror? Will you read the new book series?
