What ever did happen to Steve Burns from Blue’s Clues? Recently, the actor/musician spoke with Tech Insider about why he left the Nickelodeon TV show.

Burns hosted the animated children’s series from 1996 to 2002. The program followed Steve as he solved mysteries with the help of his dog, Blue. Burns was replaced by Donovan Patton in 2002. Nickelodeon eventually ended the series in 2006.

In the interview, Burns said he was simply getting too old for the show. He later mentioned he has worked as a voice actor for the past 20 years and makes music.
