What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, The Brave stars Anne Heche, Mike Vogel, Natacha Karam, Demetrius Grosse, Noah Mills, Hadi Tabbal, Tate Ellington, and Sofia Pernas. The series centers on Captain Adam Dalton (Vogel) who leads his Special Ops squad on dangerous field missions across the globe. Back in their Washington D.C. headquarters, D.I.A. Deputy Director Patricia Campbell (Heche) oversees the unit which provides support and analysis for Dalton and company. While this elite team usually faces seemingly insurmountable odds, they dedicate themselves to completing their missions successfully, regardless of the dangers and challenges thrown at them.

Telly’s Take
The Brave premiered with tepid numbers and they dropped much lower over the course of the season. The ratings have been poor so, I suspect that this show will be cancelled after one season. Make sure to subscribe for free updates on any cancellation or renewal news about The Brave.

The Brave is a strong, realistic show. Character development is excellent so far. This plot line has a long future ahead with loyal viewers. It is as good as SEAL Team but far far superior to Taken, or Valor. It can be enhanced to exceed the NCIS “military” series. As far as political DC intrigue, it has the ability to be developed to exceed Designated Survivor and Madame Secretary for interagency jockeying. I put the show on par with SEAL Team and Homeland. Personally I found “The Brave” superior to all the other ‘special ops’ offerings, including Seal Team, Valor and SWAT. I found plots better written and the characters more complex and engaging.
That sucks. This show is FAR superior to Seal Team
Most regrettably, NBC has already announced this show “Cancelled.” I hate this decision inasmuch as this was a very strong third behind Six and Seal Team in those four or five shows which featured special forces groups this year. Other than, perhaps, Valor, these were all excellent series’ and I truly wish all of them could have been renewed inasmuch as the stories of these Special Forces heroes cannot be told too frequently, too often or too much in depth. Awesome show! Please renew! We have so few shows we watch and enjoy following. This and Homeland were only two.
This show was (is) awesome! I wish I had found it before the first (not last) season was still going. I have had to rewatch it multiple times on the NBC app; it was so good! I’ve heard that people didn’t think there was any depth to the characters, but I’m wondering if they even watched a full episode? Now, I admit that there wasn’t much character growth over the short season, but it was more character development to set the stage with quite a stunning amount of detail staring us in the face. Just discovered this show on hulu. Downloaded all the episodes on demand and binged watched them. Excellent show. Hope it gets renewed.
