What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the IFC cable channel, Brockmire stars Hank Azaria, Amanda Peet, and Tyrel Jackson Williams. Hemky Madera, Paul Rae, Adan Martin Rocha, Steve Coulter, Ethan Daniels, Ryan Lee, Alex Phipps, Daisuke Tsuji, and Katie Finneran recur. Jim Brockmire (Azaria) was once a successful Major League Baseball play-by-play announcer and “The Voice of Kansas City.” Then in 2007, he had a drunken, profane, explicit, on-air meltdown, after discovering his wife Lucy (Katie Finneran) was unfaithful. For 10 years Jim wandered the world and called random events like cock fights in the Philippines. Now, he’s back in the U.S.A. because Julia James (Peet) has hired him as the announcer for her minor league club, the Morristown, PA Frackers. Can Jim reclaim his career, reputation, and love life? Will Lucy find a way to re-insinuate herself into his world?

Telly’s Take
Although IFC has already renewed Brockmire for a second season, there’s nothing I like better than a fresh young show, particularly one that has been marinating in potent potables. I plan to keep an eye on the ratings and update this page periodically. Subscribe for free alerts on any Brockmire TV series cancellation and renewal news. After all, even renewals can be cancelled.

I was so happy I thought to check on the status of this truly funny baseball show after seeing Tyrel Jackson Williams on “Wisdom of the Crowd.” I love the cast and their interactions, and especially Hank Azaria, who I discovered and fell in love with in “The Bird Cage.” Hail to IFC for renewing the show!!
I love this show, and Hank Azaria, Amanda Peet. I never miss any of their movies and other tv shows that Hank does, especially look forward to season 2. Great cast, I thank the casting directors and whoever else who took part in casting the right actors for the show. I liked every show, the writers are doing a good job.
Brockmire is the best show on TV! I love it and never miss an episode…..absolutely hope to see this show for years to come
