What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the Hallmark cable channel, the When Calls the Heart TV show stars Erin Krakow, Daniel Lissing, Lori Loughlin, Jack Wagner, Martin Cummins, Pascale Hutton, and Kavan Smith. Niall Matter, Spencer Drever, and Mark Humphrey are among those recurring in season four. A historical drama based on Janette Oke’s novel, When Calls the Heart follows Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow), a young teacher once accustomed to the world of high society. Taking an assignment to teach in the small Western Canada coal mining town of Hope Valley completely changed her life. The fourth season finds Abigail (Loughlin) as mayor. She must now deal with the possibility of the National Pacific Railroad running a new route through Hope Valley. Not all of the residents are sold on the idea and conflict ensues. Meanwhile, with Jack’s (Lissing) help, Elizabeth tries to integrate her settlement students with the town’s children.
Season Four Ratings

Telly’s Take
Allow me to set the scene. Imagine yourself back in the 2015-16 television season, while the television vulture is watching and waiting for a bite to eat. Now picture my utter dismay after this little show’s third season ratings increased by nearly 75% in the 18-49 year old demo and by more than 23% in terms of average total audience. When Calls the Heart mocks my existence. Alas, season four is also doing well so I suspect that this Hallmark series will be renewed for season five. I’ll keep watching but other shows have much bigger troubles. 4/24 update: This show has been renewed.

My granddaughters and I have been watching since the very beginning of the show. We would love to see the show have seasons that are at least 26 episodes. Please renew When Calls the Heart for season 5 and many more to follow. It is the epitome of the type of shows that we all really need to have available. It is very special. And please bring Jack back to Elizabeth soon.
Please keep series going as none of us like to be kept hanging… We appreciate this series! If some reason changes have to be made Hallmark should at least come up with a few 2 hr. Specials that showing Jack eventually coming back and at least them actually getting married .. Thank you!

There better be a season 5. I have watched this show since day 1. It’s the best show and I practically only watch the hallmark channel.
Don’t cancel this show! There are very few clean family shows left, and this is one of them. Don’t take away the last hope for decent, positive, wholesome entertainment, please! We all love When Calls the Heart so much 🙂
We are very much hopeful for a season 5….Best TV show since Little House on the Pararie and the Walton. Great family show. Please do not cancel the show. We really hope to see Jack (Daniel Lissing) return back to Elizabeth.

It is a show that the Family can watch without having to worry about parental discretion.
It is a wholesome show, like Disney used to be on Sunday nights.

The think it is one of the most joyous shows on tv. I have watch it for years and don’t know what I would do without it. Probably not yurn the tv on at all on Sunday since it is the only show I watch. I quit watching all the reality sows and the remakes of really good shows that flops. I’m tire of seeing things not appropriate for tv. And I’m especially don’t want to see same sex relationship. Let them keep that stuff in the closet. Season 5-10 please. We need more factual shows to keep history alive for our future generations. WCTH has it all! History, compassion, love, loss and all the meaningful emotions to go along.
