Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

Really upset that this is it, I watched all 3 seasons not realising it would be abruptly stopped. I read all the books so I know the story but the show brought it to life. In these brainwashed times we live in, this was a lovely look into what life should really be like.
This sucks. Whose lame-brained decision was this? This series was funny, warm and family-oriented. What gives? I’ve been looking forward to the new season for months.

I am so upset!!! I have sat here and watched all of the seasons on Netflix (staying up until wee hours of the morning to find out what happens. I am devastated that I won’t be able to find out what happens with Olivia and Paul! Heartbroken
Very sad to lose this show. Both my husband and I enjoyed it regularly. One reason was the lack of profanity and the genuiness of ordinary relationships. Maybe they can do periodic movies so we can continue to follow the town, using some of the books as the stories.
I’m very sad that this show was cancelled… It was a great show to watch without having to worry about anything inappropriate. And that is very rare in today’s tv world. It would be most appreciated by many people if Cedar Cove came back.
Please bring back Cedar Cove, at least movies, so we can see what happens. What a terrible way to cloze, leAve us hanging!

We really hope Hallmark brings Cedar Cove back. It is a captivating story with a beautiful setting and excellent actors. I appreciate the Hallmark programming and this was one of their gems. Please return our beloved characters and town to us!
I am so upset to find out juts today that Cedar Cove is not returning AND that Hallmark has left those of us who LOVE this show, hanging off a cliff with no ending! Awful, sad, and unfair! Bring back Cedar Cove….the BEST series EVER on Hallmark!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the show and am extremely disappointed to see that it has been cancelled. I would gladly vote to have it brought back.
There is a petition on change.org to bring back cedar cove if everybody goes online and signs it maybe hallmark channel will bring it back. This is the petition that brought back Nashville
Shame on you Hallmark, you could have least given us an ending instead of leaving us in the lurch. What sort of channel does that, obviously you. I just watched the 3 series and could not believe there would be no Season 4, what were you thinking. That was refreshing to watch and people need something like this these days to cheer them up for at least a short time.
