Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

So sad. One of the best shoes on TV. Every time something is holsum and worth watching, it gets canceled. Please reconsider.
With all the shows playing to violence and negativity offered on television nowadays, Cedar Cove was a welcome relief. It doesn’t speak highly of this network when they cancel a show such as Cedar Cove and instead offer one insipidly sweet movie after another, especially at Christmas. It’s become a ridiculous channel to watch.
So disappointed that Cedar alcove has been cancelled! A wrap up show would have been nice!

I am so sad that there will not be a Season 4! Seems every time there is a great show on TV it gets cancelled and replaced with some stupid reality show or a show full of violence. Please bring back Cedar Cove
So tired of watching shows on netflix only to find out they have been canceled…. if you are going to cancel a show, then make a final episode instead of leaving us hanging!!

I so enjoyed this special show & I’m greatly disappointed it is not being renewed since we were left hanging at the end of season 3. I think it needs to be renewed for at least one more that all the loose ends can be tied up with all the characters lives. Please reconsider & renew the 4th Season
I have enjoyed watching “Cedar Cove” and was looking forward to seeing it again this summer. I am saddened by the cancellation of this show. I thought it was well written, I liked the actors the were in the program, the scenery was spectacular, and I loved the story line. So sad it will not be back. Just learned that it will not be returning because I have not seen it in the line up. I think it should have been renewed.
I love Cedar Cove! I just found out it has been canceled. Please bring it back! At least one more season to tie up the loose ends.
I feel that the producers should at least air a shortened season or a finale episode to bring closure to all the beloved characters lives. It’s a travesty to leave fans hanging at the end of season three with so many unanswered questions.
Yes I agree that we are being left hanging with so many unanswered questions. I would really enjoy a grand fanale and expect you to honor all these requests to do something to bring closure to a wonderful series. What is the book that will cover the series 4?
Think it should be renewed. Loved the show.it should be brought be for at least one more season to tie up all the loose ends.
