NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.
What do you think? Will you miss Chase? Why do you think it didn’t catch on?

I love it, DON’T CANCEL. We are getting less and less good shows to watch.
yeh i just started liking the show more and more mostly because of annie i think she looked hot esp when fighting bad guys so i hope it comes back just coz of annie
watching it right now.totally by accident found it.by flipping channels.
I am Texan, and back this show 100%. Also, I am in the so-called demographic group that was supposedly polled. I think Peacock is a liar when it comes to ratings. That is why I am only fan to shows like Law & Order, Modern Family, and Glee. I record those anyway, to skip all the advertisements, which are more rediculous than most of the programs put on the air to replace great shows like Chase.
I really like the show. Especially all the actors. I rarely watch NBC, CBS, or ABC because most of their show are really stupid, unlike series like “Chase”. The peacock company is clueless to the intelligent demographic viewing company. That is why I am the biggest fan of A&E, BRAVO, and other great cable stations like these. They know what are good series, hire great actors, and excellent writers. I will be happy be NBC, ABC, and CBS are off the air!
I have seen worse shows that are kept on. You have to be kidding me, exactly who are you polling and getting your numbers from for your stats. I will be honest and say I don’t usually watch any of the shows at it’s normal time because I work and just don’t have that kind of time. However, I love, love, love this show. If Law-and-Order can last for several decades certainly a show that based out of Texas should last. I can’t believe all of the Texans are not backing this show. The show has excellent story lines and… Read more »
please keep it on. loved it! Love when a girl kicks butt.
I think the over the top impossible stunts the woman did put it in bad light. It was like big time wrestling booooooooo crap. unreal and insulting.
Its back on the air well it was this sat
I love the show and miss it! It’s better than a lot of that other crap out there. I can’t believe people would rather watch Minute to Win it- I find that shocking and sad.
I feel like chasefan, this is why I am watching more bbc , nz, canada and more overseas shows, I know they are likely to last longer.NBC needs to get it Crap straight…….along with the other networks
The reason so few people watch new shows is that the ptb do not give the shows a chance.
Why invest in something that won’t be there the next time you turn on the tv.
It takes an audience a minute to find out if they like something or not. Stop pulling the shows after they have aired twice and give us time to see what it is all about
BRING IT BACK PLEASE! GOOD STORIES, ACTING, ETC.
Chase is an awesome show with a great cast, and Annie KICKS butt! Everytime NBC has a good show they never give it a chance to catch on …. take a deep breathe NBC and let the show do the work for you. Give it a good time slot and sit back and watch the viewers flock to it. Enough with the game shows,we don’t need more and certainly don’t need reruns of the same one. I got excited when I recently saw Chase on the TV guide this week, I hope NBC is giving it another go and will… Read more »
I really like the show but, more times then not the show is very predictable in it’s outcome. Annie always wins no matter how far fetched the scenario. When she was kidnapped is a prime example. The series perhaps should have dragged that out a bit extending throughout a couple of episodes. Sometimes I just find myself saying, really.!? And not in a entertained and/or satisfied way as I do with Grey’s Anatomy, House, Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior, or when I use to watch CSI the original in Las Vegas. I don’t think once I was surprised by an outcome.… Read more »
