NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

Are they nuts? Chase is a great show! I looked forward to every new episode. If it got bad ratings it’s only because it wasn’t promoted near enough. I actually discovered Chase for the first time On Demand just looking around. I have never seen a commercial for it. Get with it NBC or do you like being second to CBS!
my son and I watched this show regularly. I can’t believe they would cancel it! funny thing is…I watched minute to win it ONCE. will never watch again….so I guess instead of nbc gaining….they lost 2.

A minute to win it is so lame …… Chase is an excellent series and as one poster pointed out NBC seems capable of only one thing and that’s dumping shows that have some substance – Friday Night Lights and Trauma were both really good shows as well. Chase, along with the Event are great shows. I don’t know what NBC is doing with the excellent shows they have on air. They got rid of Southland and Medium, which were 2 great shows and why I don’t know. NBC would have kept their ratings if it just continued to give it a chance. Southland is doing very well on TNT, but of course Medium was cancelled and I don’t understand that either on CBS. It’s a great show. It was competing with some other great shows. Put it on in a time slot it has a chance like 7 or 8 on a friday night. Fridays could use something decent to watch.
It is really sad that the show is gone. Cahse was my forvorite show. I only wished that it was on Tuesday nights because I am always busy. So I would record it and then watch at another time. I would think that you could try different nights. It will be missed. This is why I try never to get into a show with you guys because then it is gone. 🙁

I LOVED “Chase”. It is awesome. I can’t believe it is off !!!! I look for it every week. I wish they would try it again. The actors are awesome and so is the theme. PLEASE bring back “Chase”.
We love to watch chase we are long time csi watchers but both feel Chase is better ! The network should have let everyone know they were changing nights! Please put it back on give it a chance

This is crazy, why would anyone want to see this show go off the air…I have enjoyed every single episode and couldnt wait for the next episode to come on….how can this be, KEEP THIS SHOW
