NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.
What do you think? Will you miss Chase? Why do you think it didn’t catch on?

Put the imagism episodes on DVD to buy or rent. I loved the show. I will miss it
this show is the best, stop moving it around so much!!!!
You clowns at NBC cancelled a J. Bruckhiemer show?
“CHASE” was great, great cast.. Kelli Giddish was awesome as Annie Frost
“Minute to Win It” is down right stupid!!
Thought this show was excellent. Looked forward to viewing. Sorry to see it go. Double dose of Minute to Win It? Really? Bring it back on a better night!!
I LOVE CHASE!! It is a great show, the cast is amazing and they mesh well together on screen! DO NOT TAKE IT OFF THE AIR!! I agree with other viewers though, put in on another night, Wed night has a ton of shows already! BRING IT BACK BRING IT BACK BRING IT BACK!!! PLEASEEEEEEEEE Give it a chance to pick up, you can’t start a new show and just ax it because it hasn’t had a fair shot to get viewers into it!! I am one viewer who was completely into it!! Hoping it gets back on air SOON!
This was one show I looked forward to watching every week – great (believable) cast and excellent scripts .. try Friday night???
It is a shame if Chase is cancelled. This is absolutely one of the best shows on TV and the cast and acting and story lines are superb. My favorite show.
Put the TV Show “Chase” on Thursday nights and it would kick butt!! It is a great show, but the nights NBC put it on were too busy with other great shows. It deserves another chance by putting it on a different night.
The execs at NBC are idiots. No wonder NBC is in the last place.
Hope another station picks up Chase and gives it a chance

We LIKED this show. Chase had interesting story lines and had a different take on law and order. It was fast-moving and somewhat light “24”, stretching legal limits in law enforcement. Characters were compelling and believable. I hate when networks roll out an adult series that’s very good and because of lower ratings against mind-numbing offerings and reality shows, the show is scrubbed. At least show the unaired episodes. We’d certainly watch them and hunger for more.
This is one of the best shows on TV. My family and I look forward to it every week. NBC has not given it a fair chance. Move it to a better night and see what happens.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE CHASE OFF THE AIR, THERE ARE TOO MANY SILLY SHOWS OUT THERE NOW, GIVE THIS GOOD SHOW A CHANCE. THE CAST IS GREAT AND SO IS THE SHOW. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING MAMAMAGGIE
This was an excellent show. Why can’t they move it to another night? It seems you start to like the new shows (Miami Medical, Chase) and they cancel them.
This show is very good. They shouldn’t have put it on wednesday nights though, too many other shows that night. Mon, Thurs, Fri are better nights. I hope this show comes back. It had a very strong cast and great acting.
