NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

PLEASE PLEASE bring Chase back! My husband & I really enjoyed watching it. It was something different. If you do end up canceling it @ least finish up the reamaing episodes. It stinks when things get the big X when its in the middle of the season. I know Im not the only one that feels this way.
That Really sucks. I really love this show great actors, great action, Good Plots. I think nbc is losing the pulse of the viewer. What are they gonna add another reality show? Please don’t I don’t even watch those anymore they are just plain old, played out and outright the same old thing in a different setting. please put the show back on. put it on like tuesday night. mondays was bad but we always recoreded it and watched it. just put it back on.
Don’t cancel Chase!!! We love it and are upset that you didn’t even give it a proper second shot. You need to try and put it on a different day, include all episodes on-demand and actually promote the show a little more. Take TNT’s show Southland for example, they pulled it, promoted it, changed the day, and now its a success.
I love this show. Why should I bother to start watching any new shows anymore? They’re only going to get canceled within a few weeks. Networks, especially NBC, don’t let shows find an audience anymore. If they don’t win their slot the first night they’re canceled. Its a shame!! I think that was the only show I even watched on NBC. No wonder they’ve gone downhill so fast.
I really enjoy watching this show every week and if by any chance I’m not able to I make sure I set it to record on my DVR. Please bring back this show or let us finish the season.

Just when the show was moved to a timeslot I could watch it without having to record it, it is being pre-empted. Doesn’t NBC realize we can now record multiple shows in the same timeslot? Please at least bring it back for the summer if not sooner and give it another shot for Fall 2011.

I tend to only watch certain channels and when i discovered chase i started watching NBC all the time. But now when i check if chase is on and i dont see it, i skip over the channel. Minute to win it sucks, and plain stupid. bring back chase!
