NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.
What do you think? Will you miss Chase? Why do you think it didn’t catch on?

Chase is a great show. Bring it back!!!
Bring back Chase!!! We LOVED it!
That move stinks. I do not like minute to win it but I really did like Chase. My husband and I watched it every week and wondered what happened last week and this week when it was not on. BOO to NBC
Leave it, this is a show that inspires young people to possibly become something decent. To combat the crimes that so many in our society think is OK stuff. The problem is some liberal can’t stand a show with some values.
We couldn’t be more disappointed. We had almost totally given up on tv… Especially the shows on your station…. until Chase came out. Why would you pull this show??? Finally good scripts and good acting.
Well personally its in bad taste to air two episodes of a new season then take it off leaving your viewers hanging. No wonder NBC sucks and no one wants to watch their station. After reading this same old song and dance people just stopped watching their station, looks like chase isn’t the only show NBC has does this too.
One of the new shows that was actually worth watching, a little mystery, comedy and action. NBC isn’t worth the trouble to watch new shows if you like them the network pulls them. This show deserves another chance, more than that annoying double dose of Minute to Win It, I can’t get through 1 hour much less 2 hours.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring Chase back! I looked forward to it being on monday’s but got used to it being on Wednesday’s. I truly miss this show. I really want it brought back to the line up.
Totally bad decision. This show was working and was gaining support. BAD decision to shelve it. Bad bad bad.
We love the show and can’t belive you are canceling it, please don’t, just change the time slot and allow it to have a chance.
I can’t believe this show was cancelled. NBC never gave it a chance. I loved the show. I am sick and tired of reality and game shows.
I am begging please bring Chase back, that was a great show. I will miss it. Take some of those others shows that are on Tv. That show with those fat married couple that needs to go. I want Chase back. This sucks big time.
This is one of the best shows on TV. It has to be brought back. I have watched the shows on line when they haven’t been on.
All the best shows get cancelled. Don’t let this one be another show that disappears.
Bring It Back. it is one show both my husband and I love!!!!!
