What’s This TV Show About?
An ABC game show, Child Support was created by Ricky Gervais. Fred Savage hosts the series, in which adult players have to answer ten questions correctly, in order to win the top prize of $200,000. When the grownups give the wrong answer, that’s when five cute and funny kids ride to the rescue. Gervais has asked the children the same thing. If they are able to supply the correct response, their support saves the adults.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Child Support averaged a 0.43 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.23 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 42% and 40%, respectively Find out how Child Support stacks up against other ABC TV shows.

Will ABC cancel or renew Child Support for season three? The ratings were low last year and they are truly terrible in season two. I don’t think ABC will renew it for a third season. I loved everything about this show and looked forward to it every week, such a ray of sunshine. I hope that it comes back and soon. It would be fun if Ricky and Fred switched roles at least once.

Please do not cancel Show needs more promotion. Many people have not heard about it u til we tell them.
PLEASE RENEW “CHILD SUPPORT”!! We’ve loved it from the start and will be QUITE UPSET if this show gets cancelled! I have thought, however, that 8PM on a Friday night isn’t a very good time slot for such a great family-based show, since most people are just ending their work-week’s-over Happy Hours and/or Friday Night Dinners Out. Perhaps Prime-time SUNDAYS would be better so that the whole family can watch this wonderfully hilarious and entertaining, yet educational game show, together! My husband and I love this show. They may want to consider another day of the week if ratings are down. Lots of people like to go out for dinner on Friday nights because they have had a long week of work and go out during that time. They may find that viewers like the show if it’s run at a time when people are home. Just a thought. We feel like the show is a breath of fresh air and frankly we get a kick out of laughing at the kiddos on the show!!

ANOTHER SEASON PLEASE! My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed this show. We love to challenge ourselves with the questions and Ricky Gervais and the kids add a super fun element to it. We are endlessly surprised at how smart those kids really are! Please do not cancel the show. But do try to promote it better or get it in a better time slot. Nobody I know even ever heard of it so it’s not the show’s fault …
