What’s This TV Show About?
On Too Close to Home, a small town woman moves to Washington DC to start a new life and join the political scene. Following a major scandal, she retreats to the community and family that she’d been hoping to leave behind. The regular TLC TV series cast includes Danielle Savre, Kelly Sullivan, Brock O’Hurn, Brad Benedict, and Brooke Anne Smith. Courtney Burrell, Azur-De, Nelson Estevez, Angela Rigsby, James Shanklin, KD Aubert, and Crystle Stewart recur. Heather Locklear returns as a guest star.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Too Close to Home averaged a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.08 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s up by 62% in the demo and up by 52% in viewers.
As of December 19, 2017, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC.
Could they bring it back for a third season?

Telly’s Take
The first season of Tyler Perry’s Too Close to Home TV show averaged a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 713,000 viewers and yet TLC ordered a second season. Since the current season two ratings averages are way up in both measures, it seems highly unlikely TLC will cancel this scripted drama series. Too Close to Home should be renewed for a third season on TLC. Of course, if the ratings plummet, I reserve the right to change my mind.
12/19 update: Despite a sizable increase in the ratings during season two, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC, with no fanfare. Details here.

This is a great show, please do not cancel it. Only poor management would cancel a show without forewarning. Nothing good comes from a sudden cancellation of a show, it just leads to the viewers distrusting the network.
Yes for sure. Lifetime did this with Devious Maids. I was devastated. Ww as viewers were left with a Cliff hanger. Not the First a network that has done this. Such a disappointment. Makes me not want to get into a new series because of this reason.
Waiting for season 3 in Canada! Have had to watch all episodes on youtube as im not subscribed to TLC. I WOULD SUBSCRIBE now to that channel KNOWING that this show is coming back on though. Never cared for TLC until I heard that THIS show was on there. Hell…I dont even usually CARE to watch tv. Truly don’t understand why TLC or whoever has not renewed Too Close to Home. There are many series/shows airing that shouldn’t have been accepted for television viewing that’s still airing. I personally know of approximately 20 people that loved and faithfully watched this show.
