What’s This TV Show About?
On Too Close to Home, a small town woman moves to Washington DC to start a new life and join the political scene. Following a major scandal, she retreats to the community and family that she’d been hoping to leave behind. The regular TLC TV series cast includes Danielle Savre, Kelly Sullivan, Brock O’Hurn, Brad Benedict, and Brooke Anne Smith. Courtney Burrell, Azur-De, Nelson Estevez, Angela Rigsby, James Shanklin, KD Aubert, and Crystle Stewart recur. Heather Locklear returns as a guest star.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Too Close to Home averaged a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.08 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s up by 62% in the demo and up by 52% in viewers.
As of December 19, 2017, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC.
Could they bring it back for a third season?

Telly’s Take
The first season of Tyler Perry’s Too Close to Home TV show averaged a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 713,000 viewers and yet TLC ordered a second season. Since the current season two ratings averages are way up in both measures, it seems highly unlikely TLC will cancel this scripted drama series. Too Close to Home should be renewed for a third season on TLC. Of course, if the ratings plummet, I reserve the right to change my mind.
12/19 update: Despite a sizable increase in the ratings during season two, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC, with no fanfare. Details here.

Please don’t disappoint me, bring back Too Close to Home. I am big on TV sitcoms, but this show caught my attention and has held it since the beginning. Great cast, great writers. keeps me on the edge of my couch….waiting for each episode.

Please come back,this program was so real-life,it had substance,real life drama,it was not boring &lingering,it has a meaning behind it.It was sad in some parts but again so real life like,so please bring it back.Oh &talk about Handsome!!!!!!!Brody where have you been all my life

Dora J Crow I have been waiting and waiting to hear news of a Season 3 of Too Close To Home. We all want it. We have all been talking about it on twitter and telling TLC that we want it. Why no word? I will be seriously waiting to see if I will watch any show on TLC if they don’t renew. I will be furious.
Wth, why wouldn’t this be renewed, I’m hoping this is not another show I got accustomed to watching, that’s gonna be cancelled, come on TLC, bring back Happy and the cast!!!!!!!!!!!

Please bring the show back!! So many people want this show, just as much as me. This is seriously one of my top favorite shows. I’m going to be so upset if I don’t see Brody anymore.
I would be very upset if they cancel Too Close to Home, it is a show me an my Mother loved to watch together. If they cancel I will no longer watch TLC.
