It’s goodbye for Too Close to Home. A spokesperson for TLC has confirmed to TVSeriesFinale the Tyler Perry series has been cancelled after two seasons.
The scripted drama follows a woman who relocates from Washington DC to her Alabama hometown after a major scandal. The cast includes Danielle Savre, Brock O’Hurn, Kelly Sullivan, Brad Benedict, Brooke Anne Smith, Alpha Trivette, Trisha Rae Stahl, Robert Craighead, Annie Thrash, Curran Walters, Ashley Love-Mills, Nick Ballard, Charles Justo, Christian Ochoa, and Justin Gabriel.
The cancellation comes as a little bit of a surprise. Unlike most series, the ratings for Too Close to Home increased during its second season. The season, which wrapped in February, averaged a .31 rating in the 18-49 demo and 1.084 million viewers. For comparison, season one averaged a .19 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 713,000 viewers.
TLC has not released a public statement as of reporting.

I could not wait for it’s return. I have searching and searching trying to find out when it was return which I new it was to be soon, to just find out that it has been cancelled. WHYYYYYYY. Great show, can you please reconsider. i dropped all my daytime soaps to watch this show.

I disappointed that season 3 of Too close to home was canceled. I was really looking forward to hanging with the girls and watching it each week. Please reconsider canceling it
I cannot believe you can take a show and second season when you’re supposed to find out what happened to everyone believe in the rating was up in the second season the TLC would just cancel it like that. Boo tlc
