TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
BBC. Every time a show is on that most people like it gets cancelled. Then you bring back old shows no one really want to see. I am so discussed with tv anymore. I am watching less and less. This is sad. As a shut in, one that can’t get out much, who enjoys her TV. And you take away my enjoyment You should be ashamed . Maybe If You put decent commercial on TV and your products sell you can keep the good shows on.
I really enjoyed this show, so please reconsider. Maybe a midseason show. Thanks
Code Black was one of the few shows watched here. Guess TV will be off even more.

My husband and I loved this show so sad to see it go
Another really good show bites the dust! I guess the public likes dumb as dirt programs with a laugh track or “reality” shows. My husband and I watched it every week religiously – it was one of the few shows that engaged the viewer so I can’t understand why it had “3 seasons of low rating”. I wish the network would reconsider.
This is the best show I have seen in a long time do not cancel it.
My wife and I watched Code Black religiously. We really enjoyed the drama, action and the storytelling and the actors were top notch.
My husband and I look forward to Code Black every week. Wihthin the first 5 minutes of the show we feel like our heart rates are racing! It’s so sad to see another great show being cancelled.
I ran rescue for 23 years and I think Code Black was one of the realest situation show about E R’s at EMS I have ever seen. I hope they bring it back
