TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
It’s one of my favourite shows! Bring it back!
Please bring the show back I definitely want to continue watching this program
Cancel the cancel.
As a retired ER nurse, this show was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Characters were interesting and story line was very good. Never, never missed an episode.
Bring it back!!!
I think it was a pretty good show. not so out of space, a little more “real”
This show should have been a keeper. It had real life issues and illnesses. A good mixture of actors and story lines. This was much better than the rude and screaming, cut throat reality shows.
I agree with you
Please bring it back , Great show!!
Love this show!
I love this show!! Only one I watch without question. Sure hope they change their minds about cancelling!!!
I”M with you honey !!! With all the crap they have left on, they are cancelling Code Black … It’s Terrible that they are taking it off !!!
I can’t believe they canceled Code Black!!!! Why are they canceling all the good shows but leaving stupid shows on??? I know a lot of people who are very disappointed about this, it was a show we talked about every week. It had a lot of wonderful actors and actresses on this show, it was down to earth and as close as you could get to reality in some hospitals. Very sad they chose this one to cancel!!!!!!
I Feel the same way Wilma !!!!
This program has some of the BEST actors and actresses!! How can you cancel it and keep putting all the reality shows; guess it doesn’t costs as much. YOU ALWAYS CANCEL THE GOOD ONES.
I Agree !!!!
This is one of the best shows on TV, CODE BLACK SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CANCELLED
Amen honey !!!!!
This is one of my favorite shows. The characters are so important and all are well-acted. We really need this show to continue.
I agree whole heartedly
So upset that they didn’t renew code black. Such a great show and cast. They cancel all the great shows and renew all those silly “reality” shows.
I hope they reconsider , I will reconsider if I watch anything they put on !!!
Wish it was renewed. There are too many junk shows on now. Hope that someone will reconsider. This is one of the best shows with the medical field not filled with sex and petty backbiting.
You took the words right out of my mouth…. I agree with you !!!
I was truly disappointed when I heard this show was cancelled. Real life situations told in a most attention-grabbing manner. Another good show cut. SAD.
