TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
Code Black needs to return to TV ASAP, even if it has to be picked up by another production company.
Please!!!! Bring it back. My household couldn’t wait for each show to air! It was the most real hospital drama we’ve have seen in a while. I worked in health care and the scenes were very close to true life. The stories were touching and also very associative to everyday life. you need to bring this back!
Bring it back!!!
Best show on tv now..what idiot cancelled CODE BLACK..Absolutely bring it back.Or give it to a more intelligent network
!!!
Best show. The hour went by fast because the show was engaging. Please bring back
this was a great show. I am so sad it is cancelled. Please bring it back
One of the best shows on tv, if not the best. Once again our regular tv management has messed up. This was the one show I looked forward to each week. I am at the point to quit watching weekly shows.
By season three I was really into the characters and really look forward to watching it. This show should not be cancelled
I think this was one of the best medical shows I have seen on TV. Acting was great. Tlhis show needs to be brought back. If not by CBS b y another network. I am tired of all the soap box shows This was excellent. bring it back.
This was one of the few hospital shows I liked. I really like the cast. Marcia Gaye Harden, Luis Guzman, Rob Lowe, Harry Ford, And Rosie actor. The story line was about the patients not the hospital. Everything these days is about war and killing or harming each other. I read that in the news every day, let me believe for one hour once a week that someone cares about people. We don’t need hate, that comes from the top! We need to be human and humane to each other.
I really Liked Code Black, loved the characters. Big mistake. Please bring back!!
CBS this has to be a mistake please bring it back
CBS you made a big mistake this was a very good show .Please bring it back.
I liked Code Black. I wish it was renewed. One of the few shows I watch consistently.
ER was around for years…. and I had hoped Code Black would be as well. This is such a great show – the writing, the acting, the casting. PLEASE bring it back.
I agree, Code Black was a great show! They ALWAYS take the good shows off and most times they put something on it’s place that is not a good show.
