TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
I enjoy this show very much! There is a nice mixture of relationship and the excitement needed to prevent the show from becoming a soap opera.
Like a detective, I watch closely to see what medical portions could be improved upon. I realize it is hard to produce a fast-paced accurate medical drama in a 50 minute time slot, but these writers have been doing well!
I love this show! It is so much better then Chicago Med! Both are good shows, but the creator of Code Black did a great job!
Love this show!!! Please don’t take off this great show!!!
Absolutely love this new medical drama! Wonderful cast and great writing keep up the fantastic work! I will be tuning in loyally
Everytime a new medical show that is great comes on -they get viewers all interested and then cancel the show. Getting tired of watching ne shows only for them to be canceled if Code Black goes so do I. I will watch another channel or rent movies instead of taking interest in any shows on CBS. No viewers no TV station.
The show is awesome stop trying to cancel it that’s the problem every time the network gets a great show that not only can you enjoy it but you can also learn from it as well. Not all adults like all those silly comedies and it is nice to be able to sit down and enjoy a good dram show. Please keep it
I think the new show code black is breath taking I love this show please continue with code black.i miss code black already,I thought maybe it moved to another night when it just disappeared, where did it go?
Absolutely love this show, PLEASE do not cancel!!!
Just when we get wrapped up and intensely grabbed by a show , there is a POSSIBILITY it may be cancelled ????? Huge mistake…Code Black is gripping , intense , and realistic because it has actual nurses acting in the background AND a wonderful cast…A show well worth keeping on television.
Love this show, please keep!!!
I love this show! Please do not cancel a show with such excellent acting.
Love the show! Please do not cancel a show that has such excellent acting.
My favorite show….excellent, gripping stories!
I’m a huge fan of Code Black, Which is a testament to the quality of the writing and acting (as i don’t tend to care for medical shows).. i sincerely hope it is around for a long time to come. BTW, this is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to post a comment like this.
I love this show it is excellent please do not cancel
